Thread: New Forum Version Known Issues

When logging on the account I normally use as mymain forum name I get the part where it logs me in in the little box, however if I refresh the original window it logs me in there fine, the problem is that it looks ... "really messed up" I don't know how to explain it other than when I go into a particular forum all the thread names and everything are mushed vertically along the left hand side.
Logging in this forum account (my Secondary one) I have no problems accessing any of the forums using the same browser. Using InternetExploder 6.0.28

After re-doing preferences and removing the option to display the folder icon column, the vertical stretching on the left side, 1st column is gone. Still testing out settings and finding issues from the way I view the boards normally.

way to access the forums is through the Station 'Sign in/Change user'

sounds like you have "low bandwidth" set in your profile. Go to
"My Profile" at the top of the boards. Click on
"Preferences". Scroll down to find "Bandwidth Options".
Make sure it's set to Default (Normal Bandwidth) which should correct
that.
Edit: The problem you describe with the login pop-up will be fixed
tonight. It shouldn't load the boards or that "loading" screen in
there at all.

To post in firefox:
Go into "My Profile". Click on "Preferences". Uncheck "Use WYSIWYG Message Editor".
You can now post. BTW, if you just click on my preferences link you don't need to go to My Profile...which makes my first sentence useless.

I have my own little fix, I know a bit about HTML and PHP and if you go to the main website for the community (www.StarwarsGalaxies.com) and login there, then click the forums, you get the correct process
I also rechecked ' Normal Bandwidth ' and removed the folder icon column in preferences and everything seems to be working now.
Also, Spell check times out when trying to connect to a server.

Also, Any word on the maximum characters in a single post? I've heard it was reduced to 20,000 and I have a few guides that are WELL over 30,000. Are they reset to the max of 60,000 ?
Also, GarVa... have you thought about increasing Signature character limits?

If i go to edit my sig to get rid of the new "Edited by RagNoRock" thingys in there (never saw them or noticed them b4, think that they are new) it says I am not allowed to use basic HTML in my sig....

Jump to Lightspeed skin bugs:
In threads, where it says "Go to page", the unselected pages are noticeably smalller than they used to be.
The forum links and other text in the main portal are larger than they used to be.
The date/time things after Posts in the Dev Tracker are noticeably smaller and are barely readable... as seen here

I might have renewed faith in Lithium...
Please, Mr. Lithium Tech.. Can we please have the :shifty: as a new emoticon? A good example is this one. This will further make me happy with lithium and it might more people to the game.

I tried to change the color on my sig, and the system said that I was not authorized to use simple html in my post. When did this happen?????
