this is an outrage for ppl who bought JTL when it was first released i bought 6 copies 3 for my accounts and 3 for my girlfriends accounts 24.99 each ($150 before taxes) and now after playing this game since launch sony is gonna give JTL free to ppl who order the digitial download of ROTW... This is a clear cause of discrimination to the veteran players of SWG. And very unfair to ppl who run multiple accounts do to SWG being one of the few multipler online RPGs that does this. it is bad enough that i have to pay $90 a months for 6 accounts but now i have pay 24.95 for ROTW that includes JTL that i already paid 24.99 for. sony need to address this issue before the servers start going empty and other companies enjoy our money.

I also wanna know, as I also have 2 accounts and payed for 2 JTL expansions...
Doesn't seem fair to have spent 50 bucks extra for only few monts of JTL...

Some sort of acknowledgement for us who have bought JtL already would be nice.
All this says is that we have wasted our money on that expansion.
I understand that the ammount of development investment in "Rage of the Wookies" requires a certain ammount of revenue from the new expansion, but you are kicking those loyal customers who bought JtL by offering this expansion free with the new one.
All you are saying is - "we know we have X number of people who will pay anything to keep playing this game and the expansions. We can rely on these people to pay whatever we deem fit to charge. Therefore we can rely on X revenue before we even start selling the new expansion, so we may as well offer the previous one free to all new people"
Put yourselves in our shoes - how does that sound to you ?

Perhaps when you get the DD of RotW it might ask if you wish to ALSO get JTL, and there might be an extra fee.
Think you all might be jumping the gun and asuming here, and we all know what assumption is the mother of dont we?

I hate to say it... but this blows
.. all I want to know is if I buy this expansion can I take my existing JTL account off my main and give it to an alt instead ..so I can have the wookiee expansion WITH JTL on my main and give my bought version transferred to my alt .. at least that way I wont be getting shafted ... I'm sure I'm far from the only one here who compromises, does without and scrapes through sometimes just to keep my subs alive on here.
.... as a vet player of over 15 months I think you guys need to cut us some slack here..we've persevered through the good and the bad times and stuck by SWG when a lot of others took off for other games.. we've added additional accounts and bought expansions... didn't b*tch and moan when our vet rewards were capped at 1 year even if we'd technically been ready for at least another 3 -6 month vet reward when they came out. I sold my soul to get to fan fest last year and we all love what you guys are doing .. so how about you cut us some slack like most of us do you guys when sh*t happens.... rollbacks, dead hamsters etc

we love you guys .. but cmon give us a break.. dont just go after the new players and new accounts.. look after us vets who you know are gonna stay the distance
we paid up for JTL dont make us feel less appreciated than some newb player who probably wont stay past his first game card before they get bored and move on.Misleading ?? this is from Ign.com and sure gave me and some others the impression existing players were getting it free and new players were getting it in the future cd's they bought.. not PAYING for it on top.
That same month, players of Star Wars Galaxies will be able to download a massive expansion pack that adds some of the content from the movie to the popular online roleplaying world. That same month brand new players who want to try Galaxies will be able to buy a new compilation pack that includes the original game, Jump to Lightspeed and Rage of the Wookiees.

Well, i certainly won't be buying this expansion anytime soon, it's not so much the 'jtl free with it issue', but it's the 'omg another expansion we only just got the last one' issue. Personally although i'm all for new content, i'm quite annoyed that instead of putting all their time and effort into sorting known issues and redressing the combat upgrade, they produce another pay to play expansion so soon after JtL, surely they should have sat down and prioritised getting things sorted with the ground game and JtL instead of trying to add more content which will in turn mean more work for them adjusting after patch for the CU when they could have sorted the CU and many bugs, then designed the new expansion around the CU thus negating alot of messing about with fixes etc after release. It seems to me that SOE are unable to priorotise their work and just work on the 'it just popped into my head, let's do it' principle.
(not a flame as i have no problem with SOE's quality of work, just constructive criticism about how they go about doing that work)

I think this one is uncalled for. I remember seeing the cyborg implants before JTL was released. I think this new expansion is actually stuff that has been made before but which they have held back. And the reason for this is of course the release of Episode III. SOE wants $$$ of course! Hey, Lucas has this new planet all made up and in CGI, let's use it! (Episode 1 did alot for Tatooine in SWG).
Why not, that's excellent I think. We get more, they get more - win / win situation.
The only problem here is: Did we who bought JTL get screwed over? That's the question of this thread!

The simplest course of action is for everyone who bought JTL and has 1,2,3 or more accounts to simply refuse to buy the expansion until we are fairly compensated in one way another for purchasing something which they are now charging us for again. If they will not prorate the price of the new expansion for people who already have access ot at least half of what newbees will get with their single purchase than make it something only the newbees purchase. Believe me, if the expansion flops because the community is ticked off with how they have been treated, they will have to examine WHY it flopped.

Unfortunately boycotting the expansion will not work.
At the end of they day you will never get all to boycot - some will want it as they dont have JTL yet, and tese are now the people who will get cyborg implants etc.
So basically, you either boycot and suck in PvP or pay up.
Unfortunately it is once again the people who pay SoE the most money by taking all this early and on pre-order that will lose out. again.
I have spent a lot of my time as a BH with my main char waiting and waiting for it to be fixed, got so fed up though I switched elsewhere. I really really really hope that SOE can get this one right first time (ok, I'm dreaming, I hope its fixed second time round)

How interesting that nobody has raised the point that it only states "Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided™ and Jump to Lightspeed™ are required to play this expansion. Jump to Lightspeed is included with your order of the digital download expansion, Episode III Rage of the Wookies." You all think that SOE and Lucas are screwing us who have already paid for JTL, what about the people who would go into a shop and buy Rage of the Wookies? Would they also not get a free copy of JTL, thus it only being the Digital Downloaders who get it?
But, more to the point, i see nothing in the above quote that sugguests that JTL will be included FREE with a Digital Download of Rage of the Wookies, simply that it is "included". Again, i will say it, why not wait for confirmation of this before you all start throwing your toys out of the pram?
