Jedi help alot because of thier new damage type. They cant tank very well with no Armorbut thier offense is great. They are the key to beating the Death Watch Bunker before you all die of old age. But last I checked only 3 pieces of Mandolorain Armor have been made. All 3 were Helmets, they were all different random colors, an the stats were identical on them all.(They all sucked compared to currentcomposite)

We've gone through to the "end" (the ends depends on what you want to accomplish in there--you can't accomplish everything in one trip) to kill the Death Watch Overlord on multiple occassions and multiple kills. We usually have a group of about 15, all masters of one or moreadvanced combat profs. Usually lots of TK, riflemen, with several commandos and BHs--and three doctors or so at least. Obviously, with everyone full combat masters, they're going to use the skills that are most needed at the time.

The tanks need to tank every mob (if nothing else than to keep things like DW assassins from picking everyone's minds apart), but primarily the SBDs--however, tanks don't really do the killing. Riflemen, commandos, and BHs(with their flame dots and special damage weapons) do most of the actual damage and keeping those dots up at all times makes a big difference.

The most important things in going through are probably leadership and discipline. Leadership being someone who knows what needs to be done, who keeps an eye on those 4-minute respawns, who knows where to drag those lingering mobs in order to kill them in a nonspawning area, and who inspires confidence because there are often times when things look grim. Discipline being not panicking when two more SBDs show up than expected in a room, not opening extraneous containers (which often calls more SBDs), listening to the leader and not arguing (argue later, if you must), not running around going where you don't need to go, and patience.

We've never had a Jedi with us, though I'd love to see it--and some of our regular group have Jedi alts.

One additional note:

A bounty hunter is our leader, Deathfire--he does a great job.

thank you for giving some actual information. Most responses to this question are "we had some jedi's". Haven't tried the bunker yet myself, but it sounds like a lot of fun. Now to find a way to distract the wife while I try to live through it.

Like the other poster said, it all depends on what you want to accomplish. Your buffs will not last long enough to do the cave entirely. You can either go and kill the Overlord of the dungeon (many consider this beating the dungeon) or you can do the quests and try to get the pieces for the Mando armor. While, I dont agree with the professions he picked entirely, a group of 15 elites (pikeman, swordsman, commando's) can easily but tiresomely beat the cave. Also, if you have about 10 melee masters in your group with 80% armor and above their really is no need to even bring a doc in my opinion, of course having one never hurts. The meleers can just keep taunting when one guy gets a 1/4 down on life and rotate like that. Also, Commando's are your friends in here, they stack their burns and it really makes things alot easier. The most important thing though which was already mentioned is to have a great leader and a group that is willing to follow instructions. Oh and I forgot, to make things alot easier get ent buffs right before u go in.

Well I am trying to get 2 groups of 20 to go in the cave. I am hoping this will give us more then enough time to do anything we want to do. And hopefully hold the bunker for a bit. I have gotten about 14 people to come so far and thats just one day. I am hoping we can do this without much of a problem.

Yeah, would definitely second getting buffed (and also musician buffs) just before going in (just watch out for SBDs in the wild when you set up camp. It took us awhile to settle on the composition of our group, so I suggested a powerful mix. You can of course opt for more challenge by changing it, but if you want to make sure you get through, that's a good combo. Yeah, gotta love the commandos in the bunker--just make sure they don't get into melee or they won't last long.

A couple of other things--expect to make a number of trips before you actually get to the mines. I think our fifth attempt was the one that was the breakthrough. The first time was right after it opened and it was a slaughter (two groups of 20, too). Second time was marginally better but improved (and down to one group of 20). Third and fourth trips were much, much better--but fubar'd at the end, just before the mine. Then finally it all came together. We also have new people with us every trip (there's a pretty solid core of maybe 7-10 of us--the rest are often first-timers).

Anyway, don't get too discouraged if you have your heads handed to you on multiple occasions.

Finally, in order to craft even one piece of the armor--it will require multiple trips because you'll have to do and collect different things on different trips (unless you're incredibly lucky, I suppose, and you loot all the necessary items in one go). Don't worry about the gas in the mines if you're buffed, it will make no difference. If you're not buffed in the mines, you're going to be a one-shot kill for anything just about.

Again, good luck!

Eh? what does this mean?

it means that bounty hunter armor does not drop inside the bunker. it can be looted off of black sun spawns found on dathomir, yavin, and endor.

xaorz i just sold 2 "full" sets of jetpack components the other day, guess you missed it :-/

as for bases dropping, i myself havent looted one since the week before the bunker went live. ive since then gathered 4-6 of each of the other 3 "known" components.

anyone gotten one lately?
