Farewell Tiggs
No wonder TC is still down, she probably kicked over the servers on the way out... I would have

Holy...and here I was about to deny it all due to the fact that she posted sometime this morning about SOE business. But that's pretty cut and dried. Let the speculations on why she "is no longer with SOE" commence...

This is in no way directed at the mods, as i know they have nothing to do with this. Im giving critisism in regards to community relations.
Great work guys, i must say. I honestly, didnt think that things could get any worse then you go and fire one of the only truly great people on your books that genuinly and vocally believed in the game and what it could achieve.2 and a half years and still SOE continues to make mistake after mistake, i would honestly think you guys would learn but obviously i was wrong. Consider my account cancelled, ill be waiting for the timer to run out.OwenIf anyone has any kind words to send to tiggs then be sure to drop them in this thread.
Wow. This is news to me. If this is true, I have to say some words.
I did not and I still do not agree with the way SOE is handling community relations. However, it is in no way Tiggs fault that community relations are in the state they are in. Granted, she held the position of "Director of Community Relations for SWG", but from my judgement she was not given enough power along with that title to actually carry out her job properly. She had no means to actually demand the info the community wanted from game designers and devs, she had to wait till somebody felt like giving her some info to release to the public.
There is only so much community relations people can do if the managers, game designers and developers choose to ignore the community. Using Tiggs as a scapegoat will not make the community any happier, the problems the community has are not related to Tiggs, but with general policies of SOE.
Tiggs, if you are reading this: You did an outstanding job in my eyes, and if I sounded harsh at some point I am sorry. My beef never was with you, but you were the only one available to talk to.
If it had been my job, I probably would have quit some time ago already, since apparently management does not want to treat the customers appropriately, which in turn puts community relations folks pretty much between the customers and the management and will ultimately lead to CR people being crushed between those two. I am sorry this happened to you.
If it is any consolation: I will be closing my account, not because of your work, but because the game designers changed a game I loved into something I dont like. Its not a problem with CR, its a problem with the product and the ones responsible for the product choosing to ignore my complaints.

/shrug. I've fired people for less. It's never pleasant but it is reality. I can't say Tiggs was good at her job, imo she wasn't for various reasons.
As for the many people pointing out "...but but..she was the only one for 4 days after NGE was announced that was posting...."...that my friends is called scrambling for your job. Too little too late.
Tho I never liked Tiggs professionalism(lack therof)or follow through or communication styles, I do wish her the best in future endeavors. Having SWG on your resume is not the biggest plus going in the MMO market at the moment.
Regards.
Well in my experience its normally the TOP management who are usually incompetent, constantly passing the buck down the line and coming out smelling of roses.
In anylarge organisation anyone can make extra profit, just sack a few 1000 employees and expect the others to take up the slack. This sort of behaviour happens all the time and these Managers get brownie points for doing it.
So if anyone should have gone it should have started at the top.
Goodbye tiggs.
