Thread: =SOE DEVs !! Do we have to pay for JTL again ?=
Movie is one thing....something your purchase that you keep is another thing! All goes back to the apples and oranges...
At certain stores who care about their customer base...when you buy something at say $100 and within a certain time period the price at the store goes to $80, you can return with your receipt and they will reimburse you the difference....Happy Customers make REPEAT customers!
My problem with software though is that when you buy JTL for instance...if the software changes then you will receive updates yes, but it's still the same software...In our case where you have to have JTL to play the Wookiee Crap, then those with JTL should not have to pay for it again when purchasing the Wookiee Crap...
Now some will say "You aren't paying for JTL you're paying for the Wookiee Crap" You're paying for both!
Those who don't have JTL now will receive it! Those who have it are getting the shaft...plain and simple...
If they cared...(practical business sense not-with-standing) they would offer the Wookie Crap with JTL at a price for those who don't have it, and offer it at a lower price for those with the prereqs...
If the system requirements changed to (hypothetical) 5 gigs of RAM tomorrow would SOE go purchase a 5gig chip for all of it's playerbase? NO! We would have to buy it ourselves to play the game!
If the Wookiee Crap is required to have JTL for you to play it, then SOE should require you to purchase it seperately, unless it's in a bundled package, in which it appears that is the case....but practicality for a good customer relationship would package the Wookiee Crap for those who already have the prereqs...
Ain't much we (those how have already filled the requirements for playing the Wookiee Crap) can do, but grin and bear the screwing that will commence to those who have already shelled out the money....
Just my one cent and nothing more...

Sounds like someone needs some help with their anger management and issues around wookiees. what the matter did a wookiee squeeze you abit to hard in a wookiee hug and crack a rib or have you not been getting you weekly wookiee love?

This usually takes at least a year before it gets bundled.Personally, I don't care -- but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me and I understand why some people are irritated. I mean, they just bought the game and now it's not worth the box it came in? Sure, they can do what they want, things depreciate, etc., etc., but it certainly doesn't speak well of SOE's regard for their early adopters.
The LoY expansion for EQ.

When you pay $10 to see a movie, do you go back in 2 months and demand $8.50 back because people are now paying $1.50 to see it in the dollar theatre?

That made me laugh, ive got about the same low opinion of the wookie planet as I did for people that took wookies with no idea how they should have been played but cause they got ubber stats. Its sounds like a giant waist of time going there unless you are a sypathetic wookie loving rebel. But like all good business plans SOE arent stupid and are making anyone that wants cybernetics get the expansion so ill have to get it for a tiny part of the content.
So with that in mind I would like to know why we that went out and ordered Jump to lightspeed like good consumers are paying the same for half (realistically less than half JTL was a worth while expansion ROW is a planet and some content that should be provided free)of what people that didnt want to spend money buying JTL and are now getting. At a guess would it be because no one is bothering with space missions anymore, and the genius behind making it impossible to solo someadvancement mission is now trying to come up with a fix for getting people back into space. Or just the ROW doesnt cut enough content to make it a worthwhile purchase unless you have JTL?
That cracked me up.
I dont get why you are all throwing a fit. Tis the way it goes. For all you expert mmo players out there, you should of saw this coming.
and in six months you all will be arguing this again.
how do you sell something that died two weeks after it hit live?
if it was worthwhile they would of made it a requirement but obviously sales are bottomed out, so... only way to get people to use it is by bundling it with the wookiee crap expansion lol.
I bet the wookiee crap expansion will die the same death as jtl did. and it will be bundled with the next bad idea to come down the pike
til someone on that end actually gets what is wrong. Then we will see the lightsaber at the end of the tunnel.
til then... time is ticking on my two year bet devies.
So people who already have JTL pay the same for less..?

My apologies for the late response, we have all been working hard on getting combat upgrade and EP3 ready for release.
To answer your questions:
- When you purchase the digital download you will also receive the JTL content free and be able to access it. The digital download is on pre-order right now and after we go to regular orders JTL will still come free with the download.
- For those of you that purchased JTL already you are paying to receive the EP3 content.
