Devs...LordS...anyone...
We know our weapons have no AP anywhere reallly...we just want to know WHY it is we're a heavy weapons force, with less AP than...non-heavy weapons troopers?
This isn't a complaint or rant...I am unhappy we lack AP...but I won't attack anyone, just an honest question as to why it was decided to not give our heavy assault weapons AP.
Any help?

Almost all of the disposable ranged support weapons are armor piercing in the full range from light to heavy the same applies forthe grenades as well... plus you're a master marksman with access to almost every other weapon in the game dont forget.

LOL. Thats what I was thinking. Look guys he is making a very valid point. Why do other proffesions have non-disposable weapons with medium and heavy armor piercing while we have none? Why do we have to spend 1k in credits per shot (more if you had it sliced) with a higher cooldown time and less damage than proffesions that are NOT heavy weapon specialists. Its a simple question and deserves a better answer than "deal with it."

Cannot use indoors : grenades can be used anywhere
Limited uses : massive damage
1000 credits spentper shot on average (not including if you sliced) : this I can agree with
Much slower cooldown : grenades are quite fast, ranged support weapons are used for group support hence the name
Almost no chance to hit (our modifiers are terrible) : I'd say a 50/50 at worse actually, with SteadyAim bonus and food you rarely miss
No specials (this means no headshot 3 to boost the damage) : except you have access to every damage type except stun which is far better
The fact is here that we do have the weapons already, sure they need some tweaking but that doesn't mean they aren't there. So the simple answer to 'Why don't we have AP' is that we do already. Also AP is meaningless when you have access to a wide variety of weapons to target vulnerabilities, frankly we need a stun weapon as well for PvP like that E-Web.

In his defense he has another title under that with bounty hunter / commando. However, this does mean that he would have limited experience with the various trees of the commando proffession. As for the grenades, I was pretty sure that they could not be used in caves. Someone posted about this earlier, and to be honest I have never tried it so I will give you that until someone says otherwise. I still dont agree with you on some of your points, but will let others give their opinions until I post again.

Hmm, I could have sworn it wouldn't let me throw a grenade indoors the other day when I tried to. /shrug Whatever the case, we still can't use Heavy Support Weapons indoors, and this is where the bulk of our AP weapons are. Yes, they do heavy damage, but they are all still out-damaged by a rifleman with AP3 spamming strafeshot - not to mention that the rifleman has the luxury of being able to target a single pool, can fire indoors, and doesn't have to pay absurd amounts of cash per shot.
I really don't think it's asking for too much to request AP on the HAR and/or LP, given the damaging capabilities other professions get. In terms of raw damage on mechanical objects, an LP with fanshot is 10x more effective than using Heavy Support Weapons as well(and I can confirm this from personal experience.)

Not to mention that our expendable heavy weapons and grenades A: have limited uses, and B: cannot be used inside caves, or dungeons and such. Considering that one of the biggest places we need AP is inside these dungeons, the fact that we lack AP is kinda rediculous.
I also think its kinda rediculous that its called a HEAVY acid rifle and has no AP, while a non-HEAVY acid weapon from other professions have upwards of AP1-3.

Keyword there being "HEAVY", meaningBIG, MEAN, POWERFUL.Meaning it should be able to do a lot of damage and have AP.

Whats wrong with that, the commando has a wide variety of AP weapons as well as the marksman ones. So stop saying we have none cause it's complete nonsense you're spouting.
