Commandos, the votes are in. Here are the winning titles that will be submitted with my report:

• Field Tactics: Grenadier (with 61 votes)


• Heavy Weapons Support: Demolitions Expert (with 52 votes)


• Flamethrower Specialty: Incendiary Specialist (with 45 votes)


• Acid Rifle: Corrosives Specialist (with 40 votes)

Please note that I had to rule out Chemical Warfare Expert, even though it got the most votes. After starting the voting, I was informed by TwoShots that the title was already being used in the Combat Medic profession.

Hopefully, the DEVs will adopt these new, more appropriate titles.

Awwww........my votes didn't make it...oh well.

If the majority of my commando brothers voted it, they have my support.

*unless it's those stinking other professions trying to ruin our honest voting*

Cool about the possible new titles and votes.

I like them except for Demolitions Expert under the Heavy Weapons Support line. Demolitions has to do with explosives/bombs and so forth. If you look under the Grenade line there are Imperial and Thermal Detonators, which is what someone trained in demolitions would deal with.

It doesn't really have anything to do with Beam Rifles and Lightning Cannons

I suppose if the meaning is supposed to be that people with Heavy Weapons demolish stuff then its okay, but there were far better choices out there that made more sense.

Hehe, some people are never happy. Cannons demolish stuff... where's the problem?

Opinions being what they are, there's no way that everyone will be happy with all of the titles. Be happy that they are better than what we have now and hope that the DEVs adopt them. Also, keep in mind that I just tallied the votes, I didn't pick the titles. I voted once and if you look at the thread, you'll see that I didn't get the titles I voted for.

seems like im to late to vote for titles .. but i would have realy loved to see the title: Marine .... and more armie related stuff...

perhaps we can get this title instead of the boring master commando ?? ... hmm no i dont think so

I hope the devs dont pick these titles because they suck. Plain and simple would of been nice, butwhen every other class who sees us with one of those titles they are going to have to get a dictionary to find out what they mean. I mean Grenadier is okay but the other three are not.

Demolitions Expert: ok, im a professional at wrecking stuff? **edit**. it doesnt sound that professional...

Incendiary Specialist: heres a good one... im an expert at being able to cause fire! YES!!! This is way to close to arsonist.

Corrosives Specialist: Corrosive just doenst sound like a strong enough word for what we do. This signifies to me not that we actually use a gun that shoots acid but that we ourselves are good at corroding things. You can not corrode someone with acid. Corrosion occurs on metals.

I would agree with all of these titles.. however I am not a fan of the word specialist or expert coming after my title.. we need something one worded that just sounds like i'm going to kill you. When I'm running around with my Incendiary Specialist tag on, people will be like is that some sort of Incense maker? And even though I could in essence make Incense out of them, it's just not what we need. We need powerful words, but not basic ones like "Deathmaker"... something I can't come up with off the top of my head... I'll get to thinking.. wish I found this topic before the options were released.

The title of Grenadier has absolutely nothing to do with grenades.

Its like the title of "dragoon" has anything to do with dragons.....
