please god grant madelorian armor at master. that is my only wish this year, well that and peace in palistine/israel.
Word has it that the level for this is going to be Novice in the given Elite professions, however, I'd suggest looking at this thread from TC about a 20 person group that was wiped out while attempting to get this armor.

Agreed with evelas on this one
Look...this armour is going to be rare....and a supercommando wasnt a novice...
Look also at the Bomb droids...novice smug and BH gets em..and they're in wide availability....or at least will be soon....cuz they're so easy to make....the only prob is this totally undercuts commando's niche as these droids are cheaper in the long run....100% accuracy when its 17 m or close (that means that its radius is 17 m...a good 7+ m more than our weapons)...does blast, and is the same if not STRONGER than our RL....at the cost of....only 2-6k per droid...no restrictions, no ham costs...nothing
meanwhile the droid can be detonated while already doing combat....hence its a perfect support platform..meanwhile with us....firing an RL has a usually large delay, restricts our movement, and can only fire off one shot at a time...while with the droids....you can fire off a droid that's better than our RL...AND deliver withering gun fire at the same time (distract and blow em up basically)
And you dont even have to master either of the two hybrid proffessions to do it....hence a very strong weapon is put in the hands of "weak" or "immature" (in terms of not mastering a proffession....who would you rely more on? a master smuggler, or a novice smuggler in firepower?...by giving the novice the same tools which should really only be the incentive to master the prof....perfectly undermines any reason to do so)
If mandalorian armour is novice cert....i can foresee a similar happening, on a much small scale of course...for instance:
Already our LP is one of the best pistols in the game..and hence the most widely dabbled....an MP will just have to spend 6 skill points more than it takes to master commando (169 sp...so to be a Master Pistoleer w/ novice commando = 175 sp)
And as a result...they far outdamage us in blast damage with our only weapon...as it takes pistol mods/specials....eliminating the need for a mastered commando (why waste money on an RL when you can do alot more damage as an MP w/ a Launcher Pistol? Regardless of AP...if the creature/NPC has blast vuln....the damage will go through unhampered [so if an MP can be shooting 2k-2.5k per second with his LP...thats the real damage being done on a blast vuln.....i have Pistol Tech 3....on my LP which is speed sliced (1.3 spd) i can do upwards to 2.5k dmg...my norm is 1-2k however...but I miss alot....now imagine an MP who barely misses, and has stronger specials with my Launcher Pistol]
To cut a long winded post short...needless to say, if mando armour is novice commando....then not only will our job be fullfilled for just a mere 6 sp more (and 2-5X the more firepower...i avg around 4-5k for my RL hits every 8 or so seconds..imagine 2k blast dmg from a MP's LP every second...)....and then they, cuz they just dabbled a mere 35 SP more [alot of elites master marksman anyways for the added skill mods].....they also now have access to a high lvl armour...essentially taking away our identity
A Supercommando may also have been a Master Pistoleer but its a Master Commando First [In terms of Commando..the SAME applies to BH...dunno about SL tho hehe
)
It won't be rare on the server me and Stern play on. That cave will be spawn camped 24/7 for a week or two. I don't care if things spawn fast, we'll have 300+ guys there the second it starts, all fully buffed with 80% composite armor, and half of them will be Rifleman.
- Shaft the Dabblers who might have 3/4 of commando, but because they aren't a master they can't use it. Are they not commando enough to wear it or something?
- Reduce the amount of leverage we have for improving the master box, as the reward for mastering the profession will then largely be on the ability to wear mandalorian armor.
- Put too much emphasis on mandalorian armor as being centric to the profession
By leaving the cert at novice (or at the very most requirements I'd go for, having to master one complete line before being certed) it allows commandos of versatile profession types to use the armor, which on its own is hard enough to get. We need perks at master, that's for sure - but making it a cert for armor is flat-out a bad idea. Plus, a lower level cert takes away the mandalorian-centricity that would occur if it became a master cert.
