Sounds like a rumor to me... where did a Dev or Corr post this? You have a link? If not I wouldn't get too riled up.

I don't have any super super uber weapons but I do think that the really really good stuff is going to get hit by the nerf bat They can't really factor in each weapon into the new system, can they? I dunno, but it sucks for the people who have some really good weapons because I have no doubt that some are gonna be reworked and toned down.

All they have to do is lower/raise stats proportionally. For the statisticians in SOE you could just use 'distance from the base stat' and move it proportionally in-line with the new base stat. All it would take is 1 well-coded algorithm. Z-Scores?

This would piss a hell-load of people off, including me. But I also heard them say a while ago that they would move all state proportionally so that good weapons will still be good in the new system.

this isa likely scenario - they need to bring all weapons into a more "balanced range" and yourprediction sound like it would probably be a very good one.

Ordo, I believe what you're talking about is rumor at the moment - we don't know yet how conversion will fully be handled.

Needless to say, all the weapons will basically have their equalivent role in the CU. Like a fast flamethrower that's also damaging...will have the equalivent of what it is now Post-CU. A legendary T-21 will be converted to still be legendary, but it won't be so out of balance as it is now...

Its a bit tricky to explain, but the plan as far as we know isn't to convert all weaponry to a base model...that would be almost as bad as having to delete all the current weaponry/armour

Where did you read that a "Red Name" posted that? I haven't heard anything about that...not even in the CU forums.

There has been some talk of "conversion" possibilities, but nothing for sure yet, and this is the first time I've ever heard brought up the idea of weapons being reset to "base model"...until I see something posted by a "red name" regarding that, I'll chalk this one up to another rumor.

Actually i have not read it anywhere i was searching the forums after i had heard about it on ventrillo from one of our allies. They stated that this reduction was comming and was very prescise about it and the stats, when i asked them about where they read this at they said something about the test center. I searched and found nothing and was hoping that our guys here would have the info and as always they have the goods! this is why i love this forum. Thank you all.

This is an excellent idea. On my server, the minute a nobody n00b loots a Uber Mindfire Weapon, all of the sudden they're PVP gods.I'm sure you all know of a few players also, who looted GOD MODE weapons, and all the sudden they're kicking arse in PVP. So I think the Devs are trying to balance the game so tactics, not Uber loots, are the determining factor in PVP/PVE!

What about the people that spent MONTHS searching for krayts, then goraxes, getting poor slice after poor slice, to FINALLY get some nice Crafted weapons?
