Thread: TH: Could you please look at this? (With sugar on top.) (And a cherry.)
WRONG. Know why? Because our ever-loving cannons and grenades don't work indoors. Now, I know I already knew this before, and so do all of you, but it never really bothered me until today. I went somewhere with medium armoured enemies, and the only things I had that could do any sort of damage were my laser rifle and T21, and almost everything in there is at least 40% energy protected. And I only have the accuracy mods for rifle that I got from m.marksman, so I couldn't hit them anyway.
I don't care if it makes sense or not, can we please be allowed to use our heavy weapons indoors? Is that so much to ask? I can't think of any surface mobs I care to hunt that I would actually need heavies for, but in dungeons and such, it's another matter entirely. The heavy weapons would be so useful in dungeons, but we can't use them. Why? Why? Why?
(Oh, if it helps make it easier, sod the grenades. Just please allow us to use our cannons inside. If it's the blast radius issue, as I suspect it is, then remove area damage from the heavy weapons, or make some do area damage (like the RL and maybe lightning) but leave the acid stream and particle beam to be single target. I for one wouldn't miss area damage if I could use them in dungeons.)

Do you consider turrets, kyrat dragons, and Jedi NPC's mobs?

Exactly maddogs. First of all, I don't PvP, so you can have turrets every 5m and I don't care. Secondly, krayts are boring. I don't need the xp, and the chances of actually finding something on them, and then getting to loot it before someone else does, are abyssmal. Finally, I don't hunt Jedi NPCs, unless one happens across my path. Then I usually knock it down, set it on fire, and then kite it.
I know there are uses for them on the surface, and I'm sure a lot of people use them for the things you mentioned. I've even used them if I'm taken unawares and have no other damage type for what I'm hunting. (I carry a lightning cannon and acid streamer.) But they would be most useful in high-level dungeons, where most things are medium or heavy armoured. Commandos would actually be useful to have along in a big hunt that way, instead of just wanting a bunch of rifleman carting T21s.

Its total bull that they dont work indoors.
But there has to bea reason right? Place a Master Commando with a Rocket Launcher, a Pistoleer and a Master Dancer all within 10m of each other. If the Commando and the Pistoleer duel.... does the Dancer take splash damage as well? If so i can sorta see why we cant use them in doors because it would be possible to grief someone. If it does work this way it might need to be changed.
I placed a rather larger order of all heavy support weapons (3 million credits worth) because i like the idea of 3k+ smg and heavy ap... but not being able to use them in doors makes them useless in many places.
only way the dancer take dameg is if she was dueling you to or had a tef and you were overt even then she wouldint tkae dameg becous of the aoe bug
she have to be attacking you or something elss to take splash dameg from a aoe attack (with the curint stym splash dameg dos not hit any target ules there astuly attacking some thing thoaoe stat efects likeaoebleed or stun blinddizzy will take efect but they wount take splas dam unles there attacking

When Publish 8 goes to Test Center, then is the time to get on, play with combat and post your comments in the TC feedback threads. Thats when all of these concerns can be addressed.
The problem is you are telling us to wait another month and a half to actually use the weapons you told us to rely on when you nerfed the flamer DOT. You've proved it's not so hard to do a simple fix to weapons.(This was with the Pikeman weapons last patch and fixing thier range mods.. could we get the same attention to at least our grenades?) The one that is being fixed on Test right now is less of a heavy weapon and lower grade than the new weapon Riflemen were presented with last patch. The system so far towards Commandos has been take/take instead of a give/take relationship. That is what is upsetting to us.
Also where is the Character Copy to TC. I would love to hop on and see the changes as they happen. The problem is that I am not about to start the grind of another character when i have my main and my jedi to be levelling up instead. By the time most of us manage to start a fresh character and level them up to master commando the changes would be pushed live without us having a chance to test them.
Isn't it so, that they also put a "feature lock" when a publish hits TC?...
So, if we do not work/fight/cry/curse about our concerns before a publish hits TC, there is no way, we can go on TC and "test" for then to come with feedback on that publish on things that has not been fixed, or modified.....
This again means that if we argue enough from the TC point of view during Publish 8 testing...We might have a snowballs chance in heck of being heard for features for Publish 9.......And then we have to do it again when publish 9 hits TC, and we find ourselves just as broken then....And then Publish 10..11..12...
So...What are we to do? Exactly what we are doing now. Bugging the heck out of you TH and the rest of the devs, till they and you realise, that we are a one trick pony thats been shot, and need to be among the top things on your list to fix ASAP.
