Thread: Attention: Commando jerks vs. FS people

Hey guys,
I was a BH with 2224. I figured I'd try commando for the grenade xp and the fact that at llc4 heavy weps xp was nothing but fs conversion waiting to happen.
Well I mastered your class in about 18 hours of play time.
I came here today for insightful tips on using my new abilities and maybe to read some stories about how great commando's are and maybe which minor trees i should pick up in other profs.
Well after themany "WE DONT WANT YOUR GRENADE QUESTION HERE JEDI WANNABE BOY " I'd like to say im disappointed with the tone of the lot of you.
You're class was easier to master than doc xp with a tumble bot, what's the chip on your shoulder?
Save the We don't want you here crap. Forums are for all . If Sally Entertainer wants to know how to use C12 ... she's gonna come here.
And if it werent for grenade xp they'red be no periferal interest in your class at all.
So anyhow I love my Flamethrower and acid rifle , can't wait to get a plasma.
Oh yeah, And now I'll grind FS xp much faster and easier as well as being a death machine , thanx .

General advise on how to use grenades: yes, we like that.

i don't understand the point of your statement about how long it took you to master, but since it came across as insult...
name one other elite (pure) combat profession that it takes 18 hours to master...

Well first off that whole comment on nobody caring about our profession if it wasn't for the grenades is way off base. Secondly those commandos who have been jerks to the countless swarms of FS people coming our way to learn the xp trick for grenades are obviously unwanted since they marginalize our profession by making comments like "if it werent for grenade xp they'red be no periferal interest in your class at all", and making it so the devs see our class as an exploit for jedis to grind faster. Now in the CU they've nerfed our grenades so hard that they hardly have use to even us let alone all the jedi grinders looking for a shortcut. So next time you wander into someones forum and start calling them all jerks you might want to take a self evaluation and think before you speak for a change.

You know I think I've known to many commando jerks in my time. And the satisfaction of becoming one by merely not converting LLC heavy weap xp + com xp to FS , just putting it in the trees, kinda makes me wonder why they thought they were toughasses? I guess if you're not one of the 30 commandos i met on Kettemoor or Eclipse i should apologize.
Kinda just gloating , i was stunned i mastered so fast actually.
So while I respect the career now , i wonder about my profession mates.
And I agree if people come with FS grenade questoins they shouldnt, just dont flame their post... skip it. having a Stickied Dont bug us we're not in the grenade business seems a little much. If they can't find a FS guide on this forum that's their problem.
And as far as mastering a combat profession that fast, no i dont believe it's possible to do otherwise. (BH if not for invest maybe)

Funny when I saw that name, had flashbacks to days spent in or near the Krayt Graveyard. You, Aboa ( disappeared as well), your multitude of pets and my flame thrower. Still brings a smile when I think about your suicide mounts Krayts popping from piles of bones, that must have been a site to see.

As I recall, I spent my first 2 months on TC, Sept-Oct 2003, mastering commando. 2 months, my how times have changed. Not to mention that back then most everything in the heavy weapons tree was either busted, or if it did work, too expensive for the weaponsmiths on Test Center to even make consistently. Grenades? I played a wookiee, need i say more.
And the jerks, not exclusive to any profession. The FS grinding has made it so. Before it was how quickly can I grind your profession for this holo, now its what can I use in your profession to make my grind faster, after the CU, who knows.
Always good seeing a old name again, best of luck with Commando

You wanna know how to use grenades for FS xp? Go to the FS forums. period. end of story.

to the op. do not come here badmouthing. the info you were asking for is in stickys, here and the FS boards.and because my bretheren tell you so, we are jerks? learn to use the forums more efficiently, and spare the rest of us your silly comments. and you mastered commando in 18 hrs, wow good for you. and you did it with an LLC, wow good for you.and you come here to gloat, wow good for you. the rest of uscould care less what a 13yo does with his acct. go back to the BH boards and "be mighty". we dont need your kind in ours.

Pick you favorite profession...any profession, especially one that you take A LOT of pride in...go ahead...got it? Good...
Now...imagine tons of folks coming in and asking "what is the best way for me to USE your profession to help me grind out another profession?"...and then throw in some common comments like:
- Grenades make it easy to get Combat XP to exchange for FS XP.
- I grinded out your profession quicklyin ___ hours.
- You're class was easier to master than doc xp with a tumble bot
Hearing those type of comments over and over (you are not the first and won't be the last) tends to grind on the nerves of many folks who take pride in the Commando profession. We tend to get a lot of up and coming Jedi coming in here and basically telling us "I'm taking up Commando just so I can grind easier, then I'm dropping it because I could care less about your profession...now answer my questions like good pigeons"...so how much would you want to be "helpful" to folks like that?
Commandos tend to be more then happy to be overly helpful to folks who care about the Commando profession...We've made TONS of posts (even stickied some) that are useful for for FS grinders and the likes...We'll be happy to help those who are intent on being Commandos...for those just looking to "use" the profession, please refer to the guides already available for you.
As for the negativity...if is fully justified if you are familiar with the situation and understand the scenerio I described above.
PS...the tone of your initial post...did you really expect that to come off well and not receive negative replies in response? Almost feels like you are purposefully trying to create a flame war...not nice!
