I'm not comfortable with the direction this game is taking... just my two cents.

I hear you. They've been parading around in Bestine and Theed, the Imperial capitals on those respective planets. Not a **** thing I could do about it as an Imperial. As a matter of fact, there were tons of overt Rebels running around with their Jedi buddies providing "security."
Sad. Truly sad.

Yea it is sad that they took out the jedi tefs now the only way to kill them is if your a bounty hunter..... Now jedi are GODS nothing has protection against lightsabers and they can take up any prof they way with extra points..... they don't have to get any xp they just get the skill not too fair if you ask me. Maybe jedi should have taken a back seat since there are so few of them compaired to all the non-jedi out there.

I purchased this game to experience the Star Wars world. It was one of many stories - few of which included Jedi. Soon, it will be nothing but Jedi.

I realized something after seeing all the Jedi in Theed yesterday... We're playing Star Wars: The Clone Wars. I was wearing Stormtrooper Armor, in effect, making me a Clonetrooper. The game has Droidekas. The Jedi should have been ON MY SIDE. At least they left out a certain annoying Gungan.

I think the jedi parades will die down after about a week. At a certain point, they'll get bored with their newfound abilities and move on to grinding out in the wilderness again.
Seeing as many as I did does make me think the TEF needs to be put back in though.

The thing that isgetting tome is that soon it will be a case of wanting to do some PvP, but it will be light jedi Vs dark jedi, with everyone else just being jedi fodder. Then wanting to do some PvE liketake on a Krayt, but oh, it seems that this jedi can easily out damage your group.
If jedi are the best at everything, why be anything else?
This wouldn't irritate me as much if the game was based on jedi, but its not. Last time i heard they're all supposed to be in hiding...

It is a little frustrating the way the game is turning. There are 32 other professions which real problems, yet we are told to wait. We are told that the CB will come. We are told that we are being heard. The jedi say this is not fun. We are not powerful enough. We want to have cooler abilities. We shouldnt be able to be killed. No permadeath. BHs are just griefers why should they hunt us? Etc etc. While we have had 1 working tree since launch.
I like that qoute in red there. It pretty much sums up what is going to happen to the player base. FS skills or not...
To qoute myself from a previous post: The Jedi said jump, and the DEVs said how high. How pathetic.

I understand the difficulties in balancing game of this scope. There is a reason the devs are moving one profession at a time. THere really is.
What remains to be seen is how, after the combat balance (arguably the last real major core game change before the expansion comes out)will truly balance the game.
Truth is, in the Devs eyes, jedis are rare. We players just want them to be more rare. The Devs get the benefit of statistics.
"X amount of subscriptions older tham 3 months, Y amount of Jedi per server" We as players don't really benefit from that. All we have is what we see in the game. We don't 3 accounts, we see 1 guy who can be 3 people depending on if his vendors need restocked or not. We don't see a 9 month old paying account, we see the guy we used to hunt with, but he doesn't play anymore and only logs in once a month to make sure his character doesn't go poof while he waits for JTL.
The balances are coming. They are far away. What we don't know as players is if the balances will be satisfactory for us. The devs are keeping tight lipped on the development of the patch, despite thier efforts for "community involvement".
Who knows, maybe the jedi will get their tefs back as soon as the devs feel that all classes can compete on the same level.
Face it, jedi had it really rough. No one else can get killed just for slaying a couple durni. Sure, they are supposed to be hunted but they had few truly safe havens (although I think thats the way it should be). I can sympathize with thier crimped play style.
Basically, what I'm trying to get at is the devs are doing the best job they can. No really, they are. They are makeing vast and sweeping changes to the game and thats tough and I don't just mean technically, they are admiting they screwed up and are trying to fix it.
Its gonna suck for a while. Its the nature of the the complexity of this type of game.
The jedi still have one more patch coming for crying out loud. Seriously, this next month or so is more like a giant jedi Beta, with the TC stuff acting like an alpha.
I am holding my judgement until JTL. at that point everything will have to be "balanced" in the developers eyes. Yah, I pay for they game, but it is still just a game. It is a bunch of guys view of the Star Wars Universe. This is how they see it, and how they think it will be fun. If you don't agree with it, find something else. GO make your own content, go play Jedi Knight 2, go play battelgrounds. I'm just sick of hearing people beat up the devs at every turn.
Go make your own game for once. GO see just how tought it really is, especially when the rules are already in place like when you make a game for a certain francise (I.E. Star Wars). Just be glad this isn't a Star Trek game. Then we would have to deal with that series curse for bad video games on top of everything else.
Ok, i'm done ranting. I really shouldn't post before I've had my cup of morning java. Sorry guys and gals.
