Thread: What's you favorite Flamethrower Movie Scene

Just got done watching Carrie Fisher(Princess Leia) with a flame thrower, try to toast Jake and Elwood Blues. They were only trying to make a callin a phone booth next to a propanetank. Burning hot movie, The Blues Brothers.
What other movies have great flamethrower scenes?

yeap great scene... and ahhh you lot took all the good lines 
So i'm just gona say which other film do you see two guys in one car get chased from god knows where.. to you don't want to know where by THAT MANY POLICE CARS????? and when will you ever again see that many police cars crash into each other?? LOL
But another good FT moment was from aliens (some call this aliens 2 but no it's Aliens, the first part was Alien OK 
) when ripply has made herself every commandos dream... the FT attached (with ductape) to a assult rifle.. as she goes around burning all them eggs man.. if only i could grind for one of those.. then i'd have a real goal to aim at

Have to agree that the best Flamethrower scene was in Aliens when Ripley goes psycho with the flamethrower. That part of the movie was totally unrealistic though - Ripley was using grenades too, and didnt incapacitate herself with them when they went off.

I can think of many war films where the FT is highly destructive, but taking a new film that the youngsters amongst you might have seen Saving Private Ryan that was pretty good. One guy is definately a SWG commando he gets killed in a huge fireball whislt weilding his FT. The other blows the crap out of a bunker now if only I were thateffective at the DWB

Lethal Weapon 4 when that gas station gets blown up. We need explosions like that in SWG.

Robert De Niro in "The Deer Hunter", right before he's captured by the VC and thrown into the POW camp with Christopher Walken. Great flick if you're a fan of De Niro and Walken.

i think the phantasm series had some of the most creative home-made weapons.
i loved that 4 barrel shotgun, imagine that sucker in a melee battle.
but im going to have to go with the aliens movies for most effective use of a flame thrower.

Deal of the century
With Gregory HInes and Chevy Chase, they were munitions dealers.
Mr. Hines had a very bad day and some mocho dude in a hot rid muscle car with a flame pait job started yelling at him.
So he proceeds to tell the guy he loveshis car but he think the paint needs a little "touch up" so he grabs a flame
thrower out of the trunk and gives the car a touch up ^_^
