Thread: PVP Sucks any ideas?
Pretty much on Tarq as well. Actually one of the main reasons I took TKM was so that I could actually survive in a fight.

Flame used to be a killer, it's hard to imagine it being so impotent now. What is it that has happened to make flame so unfeasible in pvp? Has flame itself been nerfed? Or has people found a way around it to defend against it? And if so, how are they doing it?
Couple of big things changed with the FT to hurt our PvP abilities.
- Fixed heat resistances so that they work properly with DOTs as well. (Our DOT does less damage)
- Transfereda lot of our DOT into the initial hit with the FT
- Weapon delay makes it so that we cant burn and switch to knucklers for defenses (not a FT change but it hurts)

HE was pissed because I hacked his armor to shreds because of the fire and it took him almost 9 minutes to heal all his wounds....

Alright lets talk about it for a second.
Not true at all. Many of the jedi are healers and have very little trouble with our flame. Not including they can block our FT specials fairly regularly. I am sorry to say but the only ones that will run are the very low level padawans.
You are missing something very large here. If you are going against anyone that is an actual PvP template (TKM/Fencer/Pistoleer) then you arent hitting them nearly enough to do what you are talking about. Inbetween maxed ranged defense and dodge you arent hitting him.Run at them! Can you say no state defenses? He will dodge and you will be knocked down and out for the count. What kind of people are you fighting?
We dont have the awesome DOT anymore. Unless you stack then a fully buffed comp wearing temploiter doesnt care one bit.
So what you are saying is that you lost in a fight and then had to resort to killing him due to his wounds taking up his entire HAM? That doesnt make us good at PvP. That makes us griefers.
