I have to admit, I start reading some of these lately and want to post an idea but then I stop and think whats the point, any support I can give seems to just give people more reason to be upset and the conversation goes down.

Then you get posts going where people are being positive and then some other profession comes in here and says the ever so famous "you guys should suck one on one and only thrive when there is confusion in groups."Then it all goes down hill from there. I just dont respond anymore at that point, it irritates me but why bother? They can say all they want, it doesnt mean it will be that way and there aint nothing you can do to convince them otherwise so just walk away.

mature, to the point posts dont get soe to do anything. they respond only to massive whining or blatant arse licking posts.

if you dont believe me do a search under a dev name and look at the threads they post in (not that they create).

the proffession is broken because soe does not play the game and have no clue what affects what.

On one level i agree with you. However All you have to do is look at thunderhearts "what are the top 5 issues" post and read the posts and you will realize. We have posted many mature constructive requests and concerns from day one. and yet after 540+ post none of those requests have been addressed. The result of almost a year of no results have resulted in Whine posts. The worst part is instead of fixing us they nerfed us. Due to whiners from other proffessions. This just reinforces the thought that unless you are whining... They wont do anything.

On the other hand. This is indeed a forum and a game that imature people use. So you are going to get imature posts and complaints. Regardless of what they do with this proffession. this happens on any forum that draws that crowd. I dont envy the devs that have to sort through the forums for problems. However i cant speak for other proffessions but i know this one is not being listened to. That is really frustraiting and causes more whinning than the average proffession.

sry but you are wrong. The ranger proffession is VERY solid and works very well. Camo works as it should, tracking , the only problem they have is their camps dont have their automated defenses enabled, but the camps do everything else they are set to do. Traps work as they should, so does their terrain neg, creature knowledge and creature to hit bonuses.

Now, that the ranger profession is not suited to pvp or not largely suited to PVE in general (face it, nobody needs a ranger unless you're a BE that needs to DNA sample stuff in hot places or someone who needs to find a very, very specific creature or player.. and those cases are rare thanks to the spawning of cities everywhere and the fact that creatures have practically static spawn points where you know you can always find one plus the vehicles make the job even easier) is another matter. Rangers work as intended minus the camp defenses thats about it. Commando doesnt work at all because not even the devs care about defining what a commando is intended to do AND they cave in to the whining masses.

TH is a perfect example of that. His now world famous commando vs commando flamethrower test he made after a massive flamethrower whinefest thread in the defunct general discussions forums is the best proof there is. Not only that he went ahead and pushed for flamer nerfs, the fire blanket, etc.

Arse lickers and whinefests. all they listen to. No matter how many times they come here and say 'we dont listen to whines' and add a couple of paragraphs about the 'paradigm' they face with the game and how overloaded they are with work..you know, giving riflemen better heavy weapons than ours and planning how many more lipstick colors they can give the image designers... the facts are the facts and they are proven by their actions. They nerfed commando based on whines of others. That is the fact.

Talk is cheap and SOE talks a lot. But does nothing. Unless you whine like hell of course.

Actually now when I look at it, I just dont like to get people all stirred up, not that they are whining, just they dont need anymore to frustrate them the way I am getting more frustreated so I just dont post on things that get me that way but I dont know if I call it whining.

Maybe theres diferent definitions of whining, but a lot of what I see is just pointing out our several flaws, and most have constructive ways of fixing them, it just seems after a while it gets redundant to where its frustrating and then some of us lose our nerve, even me, but thats just because we are broken so badly.

Rangers maybe useless, I dunno, but Im sure they work ok. I know a few people that have fun with it PvE, and thats what its supposed to be used for is PvE. Maybe for PvP they could make it to where camo actually helped against PC players but certainly they dont have enough messing with them to make them as frustrated as several of us are.

BHs are also frustrated because, while not quite as broken as us, they spend a god amount of skill points and are still broken in many ways.

The important part is we try to stay calm, but we must deliver our feedback as to what is wrong with our profession. If someone flies off the handle sometimes, your going to have that. I see you are at 81 posts. Now, not to call you noob or anything like that, I just want to say, when you get up to around 700 or in some cases, thousands of posts, some of these guys have made those thousands of posts fighting for commado and may be the only reason commando is even useable at that point and deserve a chance to be overlooked when they fly off the handle.
