After seeing the Teaser Trailer (yes just a teaster...only half the footage is from EPIII - dang that man!)...my spine chilled...my jaw was open...my love for star wars deepening!

The space battle (or battles) look truely cool...simply can NOT wait to see a ROTJ style Battle of Endor above Corscuant all in CGI!!!! Also, from the looks of it, Lucas incorporated the Dreadnaught into it too! Its either a modified version (only saw a part of it) or the whole deal...nice to see lucas drawing from non-movie resources!

For one...im all cyked (is this really the spelling?? hah!) for EPIII now...those shooting bursts of flames...brought out the commando in me...and thusly...the Star Warsiness...!

GO SITH!

I haven't seen the trailer yet. I'll save that experience for the theater previews.

Whether or not you like the way Lucas has come about the Prequel movies, one thing is for sure... he knows how to promote his movies with great trailers that leaves the audience drooling for more.

We can probably expect 1-2 more different trailers for Ep.3.

Do you recall people buying tickets to awful movies just to see the Ep.1 trailers a few years ago? After the trailer, they got up and left? I forgot which bad movies back then suffered that inglorious fate.

After seeing that trailor, I *so* want to see the movie.

Episode *4*, I mean...... /rolleyes

And yeah, the spacebattle shot looked cool. But that was what, 5 seconds out the trailor?

If I had been waiting for that trailor, I'd have been terrible disappointed.

But I'm still looking forward to Ep 3 all the same.

That fight scene with Obi-wan and 'someone else' looks kinda cool too.

After seeing all the trailers I wanted to see the movies, problem is, once the actors open their mouths, the garbage starts to come out. I am hoping ep 3 will be truer to the OT, in that the focus is action and there are no embarassing conversations that show the actors forcing the acting. Too bad Lucas is not a better dialogue writer, he has some very talented actors (and actresses) working for him.

The pinnacle scene will be the Duel, it will be awesome and well worth the wait all this time.

Thats the thing...don't wait for the trailer heh, its just a teaser anyways...

But I got a feeling bout this prequel...it could very well live up or exceed the classic trilogy expectations fans have put on the prequel trilogy...

Theres just something about an evil empire that simply makes a movie fun and good...EP I and II lacked this, it was the "beginning" of something sinister...but nothing really dark or forbidding.

The entire classic trilogy had something dark about them, the first 2 prequels did not...but ROTS will...

*Shrug* Its just like some books, first 50 pages can be a bore...but the rest of the story is wonderful...

i agree - i think ep 1 and 2 are nothing but fluffers for ep 3, i think it will tie everything together and will by far be above the bar compared to the original trilogy - I know - thats a profound statement - but im a betting man - I cant wait!

The only concern I have is that Ep.III has to tie so many things up and answer alot of fan questions.

If they have to make the movie long, then so be it, just tie up everything.

Moviegoers don't really have a problem with a long movie as long as it's enjoyable and serves a purpose... but don't milk the time for the sake of milking time!

From my experience in LotR:Return of the King in the theater, people had a good time with the movie and didn't mind the length of it. Yes, they stretched the ending more than they should have, but there were alot of things being done at in the middle.

Hey that was also the short ending of Return of the King, in the book there were a good 2-3 chapters AFTER the ring was destroyed...

They totally left out the hobbits fighting the remenants of sauraman's minions in the shire...that was huge, didnt get a mention in the theatrical release (hopefully they'll have it in the Special edition!)

The ending couldve easily been twice as long as it really was heh...

I think that they're going to show the "Scourging of the Shire" as part of the Return of the King special edition is released. I'm guessing that they'll probably show Saruman death there...I hope.

heres the thing. lucas made episodes 4-6 kinda dark, dingy, and beat up. episodes 1 and 2 are all sleek, shiny, and happy. if episode 3 doesnt tie the two groups together, the series will fall flat on its back and lucas will lose all faith in my eyes.

there was a south park episode about taking movies away from their creators simply to save the movie at their hands. has anyone watched the new release of 4-6 and noticed all of the not so subtle changes hes working into them. hes trying to create coordination each time he releases a new version. now, episode 6 not only ends with different music, the old ghost dude has now been replaced with Hayden at the end. i kind of think thats just wrong. there are better ways to create continuity.
