WOW, I can't belive it. The flame throwers really suk bad! When i equip it it says shows the threat meter shows it to be a more powerfull wpn. Then i pull the trigger and bang.... nothing, so I waited it out thinking that waiting for flame 1 would be the differance. Whoo Hoo... not! Now I find out at flame 1 is for point blank range only. Well ok I think, then i use it GGRRRR almost anything can kill me be for i do any damage to it. then i switch to my pistol and bang they die. **edit**! Is it shooting a holo flame!?!?! And my pistol that buy the stats does half the damage kills quik. But the flamethrower cant kill a chuba, how difficult is it to change it? This guys boss, tells this guys boss, and so on and so on? Why are you screwing us? It takes sooo much to get to this so called lofty position. Only to find out that the lowest damaging wpn you get as a commando is the most powerfull wpn you can get? Can anyone tell me why anyone would persure the flame thrower or acid rifle skill lines?

I'm with you on this one.. I had the exact same experience.. I thought well maybe the flamethrower will get better once you get one of the specials... After all if im not mistaken the Dev's themselves said that you would see heavy weapons really shine once you started using the specials with them. The only thing I have noticed is that the weapons are extremely slow and extremely inaccurate. In PvP if you don't have something to fall back on then a commando is going to get owned in any duel. It’s pretty pathetic really. Maybe once we get higher up on the skill tree it will get better... but then again do you really want to take the chance of it not?

Well...I've only got a couple Commando lvls and haven't mastered any of the skill branches yet but according to Ivoni's guide and comments from all the other masters and near masters you suck with any of the commando weapons because of the lack of bonuses until you master a tree. Which is why they all recommend using the LP until you reach master lvl, that's what i've been doing and I can lvl just fine...all Commandos had a long road to go down to get to their profession, i'm sure waiting just a bit longer, until you've gotten four lvls in Flame Thrower to use one won't kill ya

my flame 1 special hit consistantly for 4K, and my best ever hit was for 6509.....

fear the flame....

I have Flame1 right now and I hti 1-3 shots for MINIMUM 890 more often than not around 1k I am also hitting every 3 seconds which is more than enough.

I dont know what you people are saying our aim sucks or weapon sucks until Master. I use my pets to tank and I use this to hit and nothing stands up to me ... BAH! Learn to use aim for the flamer is all.

Well, yeah, pets make anything easy...

Your accuracy with commando weapons will be quite poor until the third box, and will not ever be truly reliable in the way that other marksman weapons are at elite levels.

Just hit novice, and I must say I have never used, but now swear by aimshot.

I have been having fun hunting banthas with my flamer. If I feel like running I do healthshot 1 & 2 with my LP.

I don't miss BH at all...

MY flamer 501-1000 (sliced) 4.9 sec using Flamesingle 2 on a Rebel surface Mashal...you hit for 17753 points of damage.

ouch bad flamethrower.

I own a 3.4 440-850 not krayt though.

on normal attack I hit for 600, up to 2k+ damage depend on what the npc is holding, as your flame skills goes up the flamethrower fire almost at 1.5 seconds.

on a special I did a 12k damage before with flame single 1.
