Thread: Commando for Jantas and Mokks? 8)

Getting tired of the old TKM/Doc and wanted to give Commando a try.
Is Commando any good for Mokk and Janta missions? They're my primary source of income, and I still wanna be able to finance my other... hobbies... (Stockpiling resources, anyone?)
Anywho, I can take out Janta and Mokk lairs in about 30 seconds with TKM. I know ranged doesn't really compare with melee as far as DPS goes against lairs and otherwise, but how long does it take to take out one of these lairs at Master Commando? I don't wanna have another five-minutes-per-lair fiasco.
*Cough* Pistols *Cough*
P.S. For the record, I'm talking about a 650-1100 damage Flamethrower or comparable other heavy weapon, e.g. Light Lightning Cannon from BH

Commando cleans up Mokk lairs pretty well. I make about 1 mill per buff session with it.

About that. The trick is to get a speed sliced FT aggro them all and learn to time your specials. When my next flame cone is about to go off I run to about 18m and stop. My accuracy is up and I get them all in the cone. Its just a matter of timing.

Jantas are a little tougher, but the FT chews through Mokk like ahot knife through butter.

The janta are tougher as they have AR 1 and No Heat vuln....Mokk have heat vuln hence AR doesnt matter
(forget if they do or not anyways)
But I've pulled 1.4 million cr off 1 buff run (3.5 hours)

at master pistoleer it only takes me 1 minute
MP/smuggler and a 0.9 speed fwg5 helps but..
btw im dropping ch and picking up commando w00t

Hehe, I'd have to agree on that, FWG5 with fanshot kills 'em real fast.

At16 meters I spam flamecone2 at the lair. After every blast I run to the opposite side. As I'm quickly taking out the target all the Mokks, or Jantas follow me back and forth -- staying nicely in the cone of fire. I'd say it takes less than a minute to take it out and they're all dead by then. The pain is running back and forth to collect all the missions.

Yep. One thing I loved about commando... everytime I went to kill those Mokks, it was just too much fun coning and burning them to death. And the funny thing is, they keep chasing you to the death! LOL. 
But yes, commando flamethrower is really awesome at destroying Mokks/Jantas. Master commando's flamecone 2 helps a ton.

Mokks and Jantas are pretty much easy enough for a commando with flamethrower 4. Jantas are a little tougher. In terms of kill the entire group , I personally wouldn't because you can more xp from a quenker mission than a mokk or janta. If I were you I would just spam flamesingle 2 on the lair with a speed sliced ft and you'll be getting 30k or so in a half the time .

Altho what you say is true (i have used same style, kill lare jump on swoop repeat), but no good for the loot hunters out there.
Also I have no need for that much money, and the fun of seeing how many wood staffs i'm gona loot that day is like no other
but still, janta blood, heavey leather, and the old crystal is not bad.... so if you gona loot... flamecone 1 and 2 is best... and you need to be always moving, so that enemies are in your cone attack area (in front of your weapon I'd say about 75 to 90 degree arc)
