Yeah, you could just go for the lair and not worry about the Jantas/Mokks.. but why would you want to?
That would be completely boring. That would be just a mindless set of money making missions.
I personally don't hunt Jantas because I like them. I just go to kill Mokks and cause them as much grief as possible. Why so much hate for them? As a newbie, I died numerous times by them, while trying to hunt at Dantooine. It is just a little revenge that I do to them... sorta like roleplaying if you want to call it that. 
Seeing the Mokks continuing to chase me as they burn and drop like flies... it is just too comical!

lol do you mean the missions or the just the mokks themselves???
Zero, if it is the missions... you'll need to get into a solo-group (if you want to do them on your own) or into a large group... this is because, the mission will not show up in mission terms unless you have many bodies.. or at least 7 strong fighers (i find the if that 7 has 4 elite masters, it seems to be enough, no matter who the other 3 are). Or just take a large number or mates (if you guys are not eilte masters or not even near) about 15 should be ok.. put on your best weapons and go to any mission term on dantooine (mining outpost for all servers is a fav).
BUT if your like me and not too much about the money... or the other guy that just hates the mokks for personal reasons... their cave is a POI... So run in shouting "BURN baby BURN" and see them all run to you.... to be killed like a dwarf Nun vs a Rancor... you cook them to mid rare, and have HAM left over to kick the ass of the local troopers lol... ahh wait your a imp hehehe well I have a few trooper badges.. if you want i'll send to you so you can pass to the families... tell them it wasn't personal.. but that's what happens if you get in the way of a commando high on napam fumes LOL.
ONE thing no one kills a Kunga without talking to me first... they are the best
How many times they have saved me when buffs run out hehehe

I find an AT-ST does nicely for drawing the missions solo…then again, I guess that isn't an option for you. (It's all business, no hard feelings ya terrorist 
) Aaanyway, back to the subject at hand: I generally run Mokk Shaman missions out of the Imperial Outpost (for obvious reasons) but if you've got access to a Job Market player city, that's the way to go—I can draw 44Kcr Mokk Shaman missions in one between the city bonus and slicing the terminal. It really, really adds up fast.As for Mokk vs. Janta, I go with Mokk for two reasons: 1) heat vulnerability and 2) they're agro anyway and I'd rather just avoid all red dots than have to worry about avoiding some of the yellow dots, too. Granted, Janta drop better loot, but they also take longer to kill, and they're more annoying when you're traveling for non-spearchucker-killing reasons.

When looking at the terminal to pull a Janta mission what do I look for? Or what is the average payout for each mission?

27Kcr for the Shamans, which require groups/pets to pull. There are others that pay less, 20Kcr and the like, but the Shamans are where it's at for straight cash.

Commando can do Janta/Mokk, but Teras Kasi is a whole lot faster about it.
