Thread: Where is our Cold damage weapon?

I thought I remembered someone saying that Commandos will have access to all damage types, but I dont see anything for Cold damage.
I couldnt even get Cryoban Grenades from the frog on test center.
Anyone know something I dont?

we have cryo nades, but since you cant be a commando on TC why need them?

Once we can get commando skills on the frogs, cryoban grenades *should* be our cold-dmg weapon, that is unless its not changed - which I doubt it is (and I haven't looked at them yet 
)

i've been told that the proton carbine(cold damage) is certed at master commando... can anyone comfirm this?

proton is energy I though, I Do know that it has a dot on it!

if proton is energy why r proton grenades heat damage???? lol i know hehehe the thermals do blast which makes even less sense but i dont know about nades in the cu as of yet.

The proton carbine I don't think does cold damage...if it does via the frogs, hmm.. /shrug
I heard someone whining that carbineer didn't get any new certs or something in their skill tree, but theres quite a few certs that currently are NOT listed for the profession atm. Its like the DE-10 pistol or the Tenlos Disruptor rifle, you need a certain skill from a certain profession to use, but it's not listed...(theres quite a few like those)

All of our grenades are kinetic dmg, some have heat DoTs, some have blind/KD state effects. Cyrobans are kinetic unfortunately (confirmed it today) but they slow down folks by 20%.
So I guess we don't have cold damage now =/

While i see this as something we can ask for, remember that part of the new game is that not every profession has every advantage...maybe we aren't meant to have "cold" since commandos are HOT!!!!

well if you are an old commando then you are familiar with being a master marksman and as such you have your cold weapon. that crazy rifle that has a crazy name.
