This completely contradicts what TH said "Now that Jump to Lightspeed has launched, the Combat Upgrade is our next major milestone in the advancement of the Star Wars Galaxies experience." in his "Whats going on with Combat" thread
Pretty much the ENTIRE stratics chat was devoted to JTL, and the loot revamp (which incidentally, looks to be as worthless as the first Junk dealer revamp

With out saying to much becuase of the NDA I can truely say we are going to be much better off then we are now.

Actually, this is almost identical to what TH has said in other places recently...First off, the JTL stuff comes from another team (not the CU team), Rememer? JTL has it's own group that works solely on JTL projects including adding new missions...this group use to have SWG team members who have now been reassigned back to SWG and are focusing on JTL...
As for the loot revamp...TH said in the recent Loot Revamp post that he felt it would be ready to go live before the CU went live...I see this as a good thing as it promotes adding new CU loot into an already working loot system....They are not moving anyone off of the CU team to work on the Loot Revamp, and personally I think a lot of it was completed a longtime ago (they are just returning to the Loot Revamp project to finish it up)...

First off I can 99% guarentee the CU revamp won't take longer then 6 months...Why can I guarentee that? Well, I can't say...but that would put the CU going live around April or May at the latest...It is VERY possible that it will go live before that, all depends on how fast the testing goes and how things turn out in the Beta...
Let me just put it to you this way...The Devs have a lot of Primary plans...they also have a lot of Secondary plans that they keep including the tag line "If we have time"...that should be the first tip off that they have a specific date in mind that they MUST get this CU out by...Their first priority is to get the fixes in...then comes new content...
I'm not being optimistic when I say this...As soon as the actual Sandbox testing starts, it will all be timed out from there...The plan currently is to have Alpha Sandbox testing go for about 3 weeks, then Beta begin for several weeks to a couple of months (depends on how it goes and how many issues come up) and then comes TC....once it hits TC its less then a week from live pretty much (at least that's been the past track record)...The Sandbox testing could start at anytime now (and I'll let you all know when it does)...Whether the CU takes 6 months or not is dependent on all of the Beta Testers and how well they give valuable feedback to the Devs/Programmers...
There is a Date out there things WILL happen...Do you really think they'd go into this without a Cut Off date? What game producer in their right mind wouldn't give his staff an absolute end date (they do have to get more expansions out as well as cater to other non-combat players)...
Only 2 things worry me. 1) The post about the SOE-SWG jobs they're looking to fill: 3 Leads (Yikes!) and, 2) a shift of SOE emphasis to Orcs, Swords and Pointy Hats.
