Thread: Current Commandoes will not be able to get a BARC speeder?

Can you give any information on what the "Digital Download" advertised on the SWG site is? From the description given it appears to offer the expansion a week earlier than the retail box...
Actually, the digital download will be available to subscribers on May 5th, two full weeks before the movie releases. And anyone currently playing the game that downloads the new Rage of the Wookiees expansion will automatically get the Varactyl mount as an added bonus for downloading.
Folks new to the Star Wars Galaxies experience can buy an all-in-one pack starting may 26th that will have the original ground game, plus Jump to Lightspeed (the “space” part of the game) and the brand new Rage of the Wookiees expansion. The all-in-one pack also comes with the BARC speeder from Episode III Revenge of the Sith as an Exclusive item.

All expansions tend to come with an In Game Exclusive...who said this speeder was "Commando Only"? If you buy the expansion, you to can get the speeder...It's another marketing ploy...
I've read the description of this Speeder, and it hinted at the idea that it was ONCE used by Commandos, but I didn't see anything that said it was meant for Commando use only, or that it wouldn't be an Expansion Exclusive...
So basically, no player will be able to get the BARC Speeder unless they buy the expansion...not sure where the confussion is?

I think it might be phrased poorly myself, as that showed up on IGN, not from a dev, and may have been referring to the BARC only coming as an item with that version of the game (not to say that it's not obtainable elsewhere in the expansion).

These things should come in expansions, not "all-in one packs"...something else should be devised as a marketing ploy with that, not something that has been shown to players that would never even get the all-in one pack...
If not, its another thing that I gotta add to my new CU "hate-system"...damn, lots of things are getting me peeved today.
Btw folks off topic...but stand-by for the template focus thread. Im definately going MC/Master Carb/Pistoleer 0004 and something else. We're going to need testers testing out every duel elite template, and then mixed after that...
Few folks are doing MC-BH, so please try to mix it up a bit. And of course, report back any findings and whatnot to the thread.

Sorry...I misunderstood...but I stick by what I said...that the Speeder will be available with the one expansion and not if you buy the 2 together. Why? Easy...the same marketing people made it sound like the CU comes with the Expansion, which inturned caused panic that people would have to pay to get the CU...
They are just trying to get you to buy both, but in a round about way, did not say you HAVE TO buy both to get the speeder...all they really said (and marketing use to be one of my favorite classes because it was all about BS'ing) is that you will get the exclusive speeder if you buy both...They didn't say that was the only way (notice that)...
Hopefully a red name will verify that soon...but until I hear differently, it's just another marketing ploy much like the initial expansion info that made it sound like the CU was attached to it.
