Thread: Current Commandoes will not be able to get a BARC speeder?

They did Friday Features about JTL ships..... and JTL sectors.... and JTL races..... why not on new mounts in RotW?
The speeder is not a "You get this only if you buy SWG and RotW at the same time."
It is another mount that comes with RotW, just like the new CH mounts.
I pre-ordered RotW and thusly I will emediatly get the pre-order creature mount AND can try and buy one of the new speeders from some one who has the schematic for it (or if its a quest do the quest and get the schem then get artisan to make)
Any one who gets RotW can get one of the new speeders, just like any one who has JTL can get a firespray or any other ship or any one can get an AV-21.

Ok this will come across as a flame, but can you not read? It says in that article that it will be FOR PERCHASE OF THE THREE PACK EXCLUSIVELY! Not just going out and buying the the expansion, but for getting the dumb three pack only. that is the only way they have said the BARC speeder is obtainable. YOU CANNOT DO A QUEST FOR IT! You have to buy the dumb threepack and get a new charecter and that new charecter gets it, not us..not the paying customer of 2 years plus. This is so dumb and almost drives me to bloodlust.

Garvin, I'm pretty sure you have to get the three pack for it. Otherwise they wouldn't have said exclusivly.

Unles they were in marketing... I'm inclined to agree with Garvin on this one. They say exclusively, but they don't mention whether it's exclusive to the 3-pack, or the expansion (they dont' clarify at least). It sounds intentionally ambiguous, which leads me to believe that it's not as straighforward an ad as it seems.
I figure TH or someone will clarify soon anyways, there's a riot on the expansion forums about it now, hehe.

Btw folks off topic...but stand-by for the template focus thread. Im definately going MC/Master Carb/Pistoleer 0004 and something else. We're going to need testers testing out every duel elite template, and then mixed after that...
Few folks are doing MC-BH, so please try to mix it up a bit. And of course, report back any findings and whatnot to the thread.
MC-MBH-0/0/0/4 Carbs.
That carb line will use the combat XP I get in BH, as well as gives the Blind, Dizzy and Stun Recovery which Commando and BH lacks.

Okies Starnick, why don't you create a new thread so we can keep a list of exactly who's going to test what dual elites 
Then if it looks like more people are going a certain way, then we can ask them to consider changing just for the testing, so we can keep an even balance.
Im considering MC/MBH and some of carbines. But in the name of testing, im open to swap around.

I think its a "if you get the expansion you get/can have the speeder".
The flash speeder was an incentive to pre-order JTL. You don't see alot of people crying about that do you? Is it because the flash speeder isn't as cool?
So what if they don't hand it out to everyone. The swoops are still gonna be the fastest vehicle in game.
However, they did do a friday feature on it, so I think they will be making it available to you if you have the expansion. Its just the noobs get it for free.

Normally I'd agree with you...but go back and re-read how IGN and other's announced the Expansion originally...It was announced as "The exansion comes with the long awaited Combat Upgrade"....they didn't mention that it was seperate, but instead made it sound like they were packaged together...

I read that quote more like this:
Those who get the digital download will have a Varactyl deed in there inventory next time they login after it goes live.
And those who bought the All-in-one pack gets a BARC deed when they login.
But both will have the possebility to get both.
Makeing one or the other exclusive to one of the form of purchase will, in effect, make it two expansions. They will be basicly identical, but still be two different expansions.

I find it quite unfair if this is infact the way it is (though I read it the same way you did), and VERY humorous myself.... I mean the comment from the president about us requesting EP III content (which we didn't that I saw) and then they add it to the game and cut the current subscribers out of it, unless some new player that comes in because of movie hype drives by flashing his EP III content

Hmmm.
Digital download preorder: 29.9$
- Mount
3 in one pack: god knows, probably more than the digital download$
- BARC
Time to cancel my preorder I recon, and instead wait for the expansion pack to reach Norway..sometimes after the summer.
I think they messed up here. More people would like a bike, thus, more people might end up waiting getting the expansion, and buy the 3pack. A 3 pack, that gives SOE less revenue than a digital download.

I would like to believe that the BARC will be available to everyone, but why then was it referred to as an "exclusive" item?
