Thread: 10 Questions for the Devs

I've been asked to assemble 10 questions. Let me know if you'd like to see anything added to this list. I will be sending this off to Thunderheart this evening. I apologize for the short discussion time but this is an opportunity we need to jump on quickly.

1. When will PAs be scheduled some development time? (our huge list of requested tweaks and features is currently being voted on)

2. Are there any features that are already on our list for development or is this wide open for our input?

3. Are the Devs open to making drastic changes to the Allegience system of changing PA Leadership?

4. Do Allegience votes reset on the PA Update day?

5. Do we have any way of knowing what our PA Update day is?

6.Why can't vendors beplaced in private structures? I believe the exploits that removed this possibility are gone, and the database concerns will be mitigated by the new limits on the number of items per vendor. Such vendors let us sell items to our PAs at a discount.

7. Please let us know how many PA Halls there are vs. how many PAs there are.

8. Would adding a very nominal ammount of storage to PA Halls (say, 50, even justfor decorative purposes) be considered unbalancing?

9. Is it possible forthe guild:abbrev tag to be expanded for use in admin lists, structures with entry fees, chat invites, and/or guild tells?

10. We feel a higher percentage of PA Leaders have multiple accounts than other players, and we feel this is a direct result of the PA Hall lot requirements. Is this as designed?

Looks pretty good, things that I would be interested in knowing are on there and a few I didn't even think of. Ratio of halls to guilds...you're one smart cookie.

However I have one question...but it's really for you and not thunderheart. Is this basically a watered down, faster version of the top 5? I"m seeing similiar threads in all the profession forums I lurk/post in so I"m curious if they are really going to come in here and hold an interesting conversation with us/you, or just glance over the questions, answer some directly others vaguely, and then go on to writing TPS reports?

As I understand it, Thunderheart will give any easily available answers back to the Correspondents and we will post them in our respective forums. Most of the back and forth conversation typically occurs when a profession or feature has been scheduled some development time....when something is actually happening that the devs can immediately use feedback on. This is why my first question is asking when our turn will come up.

The questions havebeen emailed. I have no ETA whatsoever (TH will be getting about 400 questions due to this process) so please go about your usual posting. I'll update the moment I get word, but I suspect the next big post I make will be the tally from our feature vote process.

Sounds good to me, but I think it might be a good idea to sneak in a question along the lines of "Why don't you look over our list of requests and see what can be answered as well?"

Looks great Jas!! Hope TH answers all of them... even if it's not what we want, it would be good to know where they stand on this. I wish they would open up more guild management tools... if wishes were horses, beggars would ride... c'est la vie...

MORE SPACE

250 lots for a hall is riduculous

i run a pa on chimera and have to use the pa hall as my house as well because of my lack of lots

i cant afford to have two accounts.

250 lots isnt enough for one serious player, let alone a community of players.

my hall has 12 rooms! only 2 of them have anything in. its like a ghost house.

75-100 spaces per lot used seems reasonable, given the size of buildings.

an extra 50 just isnt gonna cut it

Okay some of them may seem basic, but they're a want to know, as it stands I am trying to word them to squeeze out more in-depth responses

Here they are:

1.) What changes for the HAR are in the upcoming Combat Balance Patches? *Ie: Animation changes, Speed and Accuracy Mods being fixed, AP added, etc.*

2.) Will grenades be getting status effects added to them, to balance the cost and few uses per stack? If not; is this a possible addition to grenades?

3.) Is it possible to combine the Flamethrower and HAR into one tree, leaving room for the Launcher Pistol or Unarmed "Dirty" moves?

4.) With creatures HAM's being changed, and the Heavy HAM's/Status Barsseen in the GCW, what changes have been proposed for HW's? *Ie: More Damage, easier to produce, reloadable ammo, etc.*

5.) What changes to grenades, besides possible status effects, are in the works? *Ie: More accuracy bonus, better ideal range, longer maximum range, etc.*

6.) Has there been any proposed ideas, for the LP, to be made a Commando specific weapon? *By this I mean, it does not use Pistol Accuracy and Speed, but gains it's own Mods and Specials for Commandos*

7.) With Unarmed being a requirement for Commando, is there anything in the works, for Commando Unarmed "Dirty" moves? *Nothing that would compete with TKA, but something like escape tactics, Stuns by hitting with the butt of the weapons, etc.*

8.) With new weapons schematics appearing, what ideas do you have for new Commando weapons, if there are any in the works at all?

9.) Currently the only Skill Mods that apply to Commandos are listed as Heavy Weapon, and as it stands these do not work, causing us to have no Mods. Is there a fix or addition in the works to add Tapes and Segments into the game for Commando Weapons?

10.)

a.) What role do the developers see the Commandos playing within the whole of SWG? *This will give us an idea of where you see us stand, so we can show our view in response to that, and find a true placement of our profession*

b.) Will you hire me into the Dev Team? *Okay I just had to add that in there, why I broke 10 into a and b lol *

*Okay guys, responses to the 10.... things you see as more important, etc. Just remember I'm trying to squeeze info out that is currently not available to me; so I have to gear my questions towards that.*

Dev 1: Wait a minute, this game has commandos?

Dev 2: What's a commando?

Dev 1: Ah who cares, let's nerf it.
