Why is unarmed 4 a pre-requisite for smuggler?

Because the underworld is a tough place, and a Smuggler needs to know how to rough people up in close quarters.

But wouldn't business 4 be better than unarmed 4? If the underworld is a tough place, that's why we got pistols 4.... Business 4 would make sense because smugglers make deals with smuggling and slicing and selling spice

Smugglers need to seem legit sometimes, so they can't always rely on a weapon, which could be detected.


Business is a professional skill, but Smugglers use street smarts to make sales. You know of any drug dealers who sell their product on a vending machine? (Outside of SWG, of course...)

Can't always bring a gun to a business deal.


Business was one of the original requirements, but was forsaken.


Again, dont want every crafter getting slicing so easily

Yeah but...unarmed 4's title is teras kasi student. Teras kasi (supposedly) is about mental control and conditioning and taking care of your body. Spice is pretty much the exact opposite...

Yep. I agree. I always liked engineering and business better as pre-reqs myself. Smugglers ARE inherently business men, and we ARE hybrids between crafter and combatant after all. But then I've been through all this too many times before.

If I could redo the smuggler prerequisites, I'd do pistols 4, engineering 4, and Organic Chemistry 4.


But that's just me.

I think it should be Pistols 4, business 4, and (maybe) organic chemistry 4 (thanks for the idea, wok). Smugglers would need pistols 4 because of dirty fighting 1-4. Business 4 would be used for underworld 1-4 and slicing 1-4. Organic chemistry would be used for Spices 1-4.

Personally, im glad i can master 3elite professions with the setup they have. I am well on my way to the Tripple Crown baby, Master Smuggler, Master Pistoleer, and currently at 2104 TKA, Master soon enough. With the setup they have, this is the only template that lets you master 3 elite professions that I know of, and if they nerf it cause of all of the whining I am gonna go on ya!
