I have recently Mastered Commando and that leaves 81 skill points left over. What should I put these points to to have a good PvP Commando?

Well man......sorry that I have to break the news to ya. I am a Master Commando/TKM/Novice medic. This combo is most deadly. BUT, I say BUT again, Commando is worthless in PvP. The other day I took out a Krayt Dragon, 2 AT-ST's and then I dueled some TKA student with a NightSister's lance and guess who won! If you want to be good at PvP then you have to dabble. I suggest you drop all of Commando, except Flame tree, and proceed to put some into Fencer, and Pistoleer. And by the way when I did the duel I was completely buffed, wearing 80% armor, and chewing on some syntha steak and this......STUDENT mind diseased me and I died....simply stated.

"This is my BOOM STICK......or at least it used to have some BOOM to it....now I just light lamps on fire to get warm from the lamps......and sometime I use my HAR to clean the pipes of my toliet when it get's backed up...but when I do that I have to rest for the rest of the day,and when I am really angry I pull out my......VK and threaten those Butterflies for knocking a Commando unconscious by flying at me while on my bike"

PAH! is what I say....give me a damn squirt gun full of alchohol and a lighter and I'll get those butterflies!

/burstrun...........commando's most effective tool in PvP. TK/Commando do realatively well. No matter what you choose you'll still need to figure out tactics.

Go tk and then get 0030 smuggler it works pretty good but doesnt leave room for any thing else. so bring a medic buddy with you unless you got good food and spices then you dont need one.

Good tactics are real important and often overlooked. Anovice with good tactics will win most times if the other person is an idiot. I am Master Commando and Master TKA and can get owned by Master Riflemen and Master Combat Medics. Those guys just mind shot or mind poison and run. If you are lucky you might catch them with a rocket or the particle beam cannon as they run away. The combat balance may hurt some of the dabblers. Look what they did to Creature Handler a couple patches back and you get the idea.

I'm Master commando/master Tka, I pretty much only use my tkm skills in pvp. My commando skills are pretty much worthless. The only time I would use any commando skills is when a person is unbuffed and has no armor he he otherwise it's useless. I'm still holding on to my Master commando in teh hpes that they will some day fix it.

I say drink lots of brandy. Being slap drunk helps ease the pain of defeat... and you'll be feelin that a lot.

What the other dude said about an intelligent novice beating a dumb master is true, but a smart commando vs. a smart rifleman... or a smart anything else really, we'll be outmatched. We can have the tactics and the knowledge, and last a decently long time with them, but in the end, our profession just doesn't have the power behind it to be truly effective.

Don't get discouraged though. Fixes are coming. (eh... or so they say... and so we hope...)

Master commando/master pistoleer/smuggler 0030 works best for me. Get u a nice sonic blaster (mine is 457 max dmg) and tear some mind up. Keep burstrun on hot key just incase a melee tries to get in range.

I'm curious why no one seems to go Master Commando / Master Rifleman? (I have almost no PvP experience -- other than dying 3 times)

whats the point of doing comando if your you doing pistoleer smuggler, launcher pistol is the only thing that would be usefull with, but your saying use a geo blaster. your suggestion doesnt need commando at all.

next my advice is dont worry to much about it till the combat revamp, because than (hopefully) things will be more evene out, and commando might be able to do PvP.

I'm having fun with Master swordsman and Master commando, although it is a PvE template, i have had some luck with PvP, Although, a rifle/CM will beat anyone and anything currently, because of how unbalaced CM is.

so just forget about rifleman and combat medic for a second,

everyone else, I burn and or Grenade them, then immediately switch to my scythe or my Exceptional Axe,

If they are a doc, or have a doc nearby, I almost never bother to put a flame DOT on them, and I go straight for the grenades.

You do have to have some sense with grenades over, for example, a CM's poisons, if you get caught in your own grenades radius, you WILL damage youself, that said, grenades have lots of different damage types, and some, such as the Thermal Detenator, can be crafted with about 3K damage IIRC, then sliced, and powered up.

I'm actually suprised that more people don't use grenades, because they have been working for me so far.

Now, since grenades have a narrow usuable range, I usually try to hit someone standing still .

Easier said that done.

So it usually comes down to using my sword to damage mind, and the slight amount of defenses I get from commando (ranged damage mitigation) help if I'm fighting a TK, and a pistoleer is attacking from afar.

last but not least, I agree with everyone else here, you gotta have brains, you can't just spam strafeshot like the riflemen can.
