Thread: Why does LLC get AR1, and our non-charge weapons get AR0?

The BH LLC has the about the same dmg output over time as the flamethrower and better than our acid rifle. Why do they get AR1 on top of that, we have to do half damage vs players with armor and they get full dmg. I really think our heavy acid rifle really needs AR1. Otherwise why would we use it over FT in any situation, less dmg and slower....hrm..I hope they meant to give acid rifle ar1.

I suspect the flamethrowers positively evil flame effect was the reason for now AR value on that. Admittedly I'm not sure why the heavy acid rifle didn't receive an AR value, and honestly I can't think of why they shouldn't have one. Probably no more than a light AR value, or medium at the absolute most. I'd definitely leave heavy AR in the province of some of your profession's limited charge weapons like the rocket launcher though.

Yeah FT definetly deserves the AR0...thats cool, its more for unarmored opponents. But it seems the FT is better in every way than acid rifle, more dmg and speed....acid rifle does have double the wound chance but thats no big deal if u ask me. The FT gets +0 at 64m compared to -115 at 64m for acid....not sure whats up with acid rifle. I think the Ft should get penalized more at 64m tho. Acid rifle should get AR1...AR2 would be too much and uncalled for i think.

i agree acid rifle is useless unless u want to have fun on things that are fast to die or to show it off for looks, other then that it really blows, it needs ar1

well, easy to say.

because BH always get the coolest things

with his LLC, a BH can easily competeagainst a master commando.

*sigh* kinda makes me sad getting beat in my own profession by a bounty hunter...

because bounty hunters require more pre-reqs and skill point commitment. they have to master two complete proffessions. so I don't have a problem with BHs getting the most powerful toy, they deserve it.

this is also the reason i'm getting sick of the whining from pistoleers. they only need one tree in marksman to get there. therefore they don't deserve to be on the same level as BHs and commandos.

we are the heavy weapons specialists

we are equally hard or even harder to master

so why do we do less dmg with the weapons we're absolutely specialized in?

sorry, but the LLC should not be in the BH tree

give them a tree based off combat exp with melee and ranged saves + knockdown defense etc, that would be fine for everyone

heavy weapons to the guys that should own them

and that is us, the commandos

I don't like this rational of thinking at all...

1. You can master scout before you master marksmen, with no extra time spent and easier infact.

2. The fact that BH's use more skill points should only get them so far...it can't be the reason behind everything they get...Best carbine moves, best pistol moves, best heavy weapon mooves....It just seems BH's use their stupid skill point cost as a justification for every **edit** thing they get as if it were the only thing they get.

3. You can't be a "Master" of all when you play a jack of all trades type class....such as Bounty hunter.

Flat out, a Pistoleer should work a Bounty hunter using just a pistol, a Carbineer should Own a BH using just carbine, and a Commando shou dominate a BH who dares to use only a LLC... Bountyhunters should have to tacticaly use a combination of abbilities to beat masters of these elite professions....however they don't.

Ask any BH how they PVP and you will get the same answer...: FireKnockdown, Eye shot, Eyeshot, Eyeshot...dead player 4-8 seconds...reguardless of who they are fighting....or, Lightnin single 1(2) + Victory dance....

Fact is, it takes the same time to become a novice Commando as it does to become a novice Bounty hunter because of the 40k combat exp pre-req(30k more then the commando needs, and like40k more then the BH needs to fill the pre reques) However Bountyhunters can Grind away on Pistol and Carbine exp before they qualify for novive and be ready for their first level in both at the same time the "ding"....So when a BH Qualifies for novice, he is ready for novice + BH Carbine 1 + BH pistol 1....When a Commando qualifies for novice that is all he has....well that and 30k weapon exp he probably didn't need and isn't able to use to advance as a commando.

Quite frankly i would perfer having a master scout pre req as oppose to the unarmed one....Scout is usefull to a degree(and if you want to pvp Terain negotiation is a MUST!) ...while unarmed is just a point sink.

Anyhow..i just want to see an end of this "We use more point so we shouldR0XX0RZ J00R B0X0RZ!" crap, it just does not apply...If that were the case when the Elite Elite profesions go in, politions are Gonna OWN allthe Battle fields(rigggghhhht... )

Above should be 300K(Three Hundred Thousand) weapon Exp.

To Expand on what i was saying now...

To have a Competitive master commando you need :

169 points - master commando

29 points - novice scout + Explore 4

15 points - novice medic for stim a's(and b's till its gets addressed)

15 points - either pistoleer or smuggler and level 2 in either pistol line as a place to put the 300k extra Weapon exp so the commando can use the launcher pistol to grind out the first 200k heavy weapon exp.

So now you have a 228 point class to be compareable to the BH, who spent217(232 if you take novice medic that the BH doesn't truely need...but i'll grant that because it's popular....well untill skill tape starts taking overmore =D) So that is a 4 pointadvantage in the BH's favor...Go ahead and give me a fire Knockdown, Fast blast, Eye shot andspecial driods(arguably useless)to compensate for commando's being underpowered in comparison to the Equaly qualified BH ....If you can't catch it i am using the same reasonong you BH's do...Sounds kinda unreasonable doesn't it.

and why does amstering *SCOUT* give them more combat viability?

no other proffession has more combat prereqs than commando.

I don't like this rational of thinking at all...

1. You can master scout before you master marksmen, with no extra time spent and easier infact.

Who cares about time?? I'm talking skill points here. A master commando can also master medic or pistoleer or rifleman if he wants to. A master pistoleer can also master CH or even one of the elite crafting professions with plenty of points to spare. A BH cannot. BHs commit much more skill points to getting to their profession, and sacrifice being able to learn other things. So yeah, they sould be more powerful.

Why would anyone spend all those skill points to get to BH if he can't compete with a class that barely requires any like pistoleer??On top of thatthe master pistoleer can also get things like Master CH and be even more powerful. BH cannot. The skill point justification is valid!

3. You can't be a "Master" of all when you play a jack of all trades type class....such as Bounty hunter.

lol. Classes like Pistoleer are much more of a "jack of all trades" class because they have so many points left over they can go into virtually anything else.

Again if this were true, people would have to becrazy to spend all those points to get to BH when they would get owned by classes that require almost nothing.

Again, who cares about time?? (especially if you are playing a MMORPG ) The skill point commitment is much more significant. Skill points that are gone can't be spent to get powerful in other ways.

Quite frankly i would perfer having a master scout pre req as oppose to the unarmed one....Scout is usefull to a degree(and if you want to pvp Terain negotiation is a MUST!) ...while unarmed is just a point sink.

No arguement there.

I'm amazed. You have totally missed the point of high skill point requirements for BH. The point is not that you have to spend so many points for master BH... the point is that you have so few point left after you are done. The more points you have left after you master your profession, the more points you have to spend on OTHER THINGS that make you more powerful. Ideally, any two combat oriented players that spend the same amount of skill points should be equally powerful. If you still can't understand why BHs are supposed to be more powerful after spending more points, than I give up.

here is the break in you rationale:

you spent less skill points in combat oriented skills.

according to you, BH should be less powerful than commando(no, im not asking for this). why should an investment into scout make you more combat viable? should a player that spends his skill points in artisan and chef and dancer be as good as combat? they used just as many points. fact is, everyone , EVERYONE will eventually spend all of their points, why do you say the bounty hunter should "be more powerful"? again, ill point it out one more time: commandoes use *MORE* skill points on combat than bounty hunters do. so by your reasoning, bounjty hunters should most definately be less powerful?
