I'm on flamethrowers 4, and I've used my flamer in pvp (even though we suck at it, but hey) but everyones armour seems to have veryyy high resistances to heat. So I do hard;y any damage. Then I think "ah I'll flame DOT em" but then some ass doctor comes and chucks a fire blanket over em. SO HOW DO WE DO EVEN A MICROMETER OF DAMAGE IN PVP??? c'mon theres gotta be some way we can say "well at least I nearly killed you" to the pistols 3 guy you duelled yesterday.

A) Fight guys that aren't armored or

B) pull out a Rocket Launcher,kneel,/pray, and fire

Yea. praying is a big part of shooting any commando weapon..

...First...any real PvPer knows that he needs armour to stay in the game...hence you rarely see one without Armour...if your first advice was to be taken....no commando would ever even fight in PvP

...Second...disposables, let alone RL's are not economical to use in PvP...UNLESS you got the guy distracted..and not moving...

I've never worn armor in PvP, other than testing my Ubese on a TKM to see how much it helped (even then, that was a duel, no GCW stuff). For that matter, I've never used buffs, food, or spices in PvP.

If we all followed that, PvP would be more enjoyable for all.

If you ever see a guy using ST armor, let loose with the FT. Tears through that armor like paper.

Why I have to mix RP w/ PVP is beyond me. At least I get respect for wearing ST armor in every encounter.

Being a commando, u have to wear the best armor possible.. without it and your lack of defences u are a sitting duck. The FT is not viable in pvp anymore unless the target is unarmored or in ST armor. As it stands now, Commando is ONLY for pve. With so much wasted points, u will not be able to compete with a double master or dabbler. If u have a secondary of fencer or TKA u will do .. ok. Without them u will be hard pressed to deal any damage against the fixed prof's.

In todays game the zippo is a wound dealer.. the tick is only about 60-95 pts from a 1500 top end FT. With a health buff and 1900 in the secondaries, u regen faster than it can tick... and that is when u go against 75% base composite.. against stuff that most of the big dogs wear u have no chance in hell.

Get caught with that FT in your hand against a melee user and u will give him a 2.5 multiplier to hit u also.. like painting a target on your back.

hehe, i love grenades. It is also fun to run into a pack of enemies and drop a grenade incaping everyone (including yourself). Doesn't work too often, but if you feel like just messing around, it can be alot of fun.
