Right. Im hoping this will become the final post to end all speculation about stacking flamer DOTs.
I have heard so many things about flamer DOTs and stacking my head hurts but i will open with what I (think) I know:
Although the damage does not stack, the regularity certaintly does (Aka, the more DOTs, the more often the burn). I have done exstensive testing on this and I am sure that, in pve at least, the DOTs stack. Also i have noticed that the original damage of the special as well as the type of shot affects the burn (in pve). A single gives a worse burn than a cone and a low damage original shot gives a worse burn. It was with that info that i worked out the regularity (after single and cone 1 it would go 1100, 800, 1100, 800 etc quite fast and only do one value with one shot). With a really good flamesingle 2 i can get a burn of 1.5k+, with a rubbish cone 1 i have had as low as 350...
All of this information was procured in pve, i have yet to test my theories in pvp.
The things i have heard is that (this was talking about pvp though) DOTs do not stack, and the DAMAGE appears to stack because the burn is linked to bf (which rises massively when you are on fire...).
And finally I dont know where to start talking about DOTs on lairs... Have they been removed? (havnt gotten one to work since jtl patch), do they stack? can you only do them to organic lairs?do they even exist (I may be just mistaking the regular decay a lair goes through after a bit of pummeling for a DOT).
Would everyone please post their notes and findings here and we may finally put this to rest (especially you Garvin).

Usually I try to avoid the "stacking threads" as well as try to discourage them...The reason being that "stacking" was suppose to have been removed from the game awhile back...HENCE...if our DoT does still stack, reporting that it does is a quick way to getting it "fixed" since that stacking would be a bug...
So as I've asked before, do people REALLY want me to verify whether our DoT still stacks? If I do verify that it does, then there is a VERY good chance it'll go on the Devs fix list...heck, a Dev stumbling upon this thread could be led to believe that our DoT still stacks and decide to check into it...
Personally, I'd rather assume that it doesn't stack then prove whether or not it stacks...Ingame it's not suppose to stack...anything other then reporting it doesn't stack means it's bugg'd...and that's pretty much a fix I wouldn't want to see...

Since this is the only thing we have going for us no I really dont! but they better not touch us till the revamp!!!!
But I hear ya and I know but I feel a lil bad taking advantage. This started when they fixed the pvp stacking stuff.

yea i'm positive that our falme DOT doesn't stack... and if it did i would have to verify that it was a repeatable bug, many many many manytimes
... i'd hate to send in a false bug report
so garvin tell the devs its working as intended

Ummm I think that pub 11 screwed it up
I believe it was stacking prior to pub 11 and post 11 it is not stacking.
Evidence.
I've been to the Deathwatch Bunker a few times, Killed the Overlord helped craft a jetpack 3 times, (shud be 4 but we got bugged
)
Pre11
In this pic it shows big wounds on a SBD, I saw the flame animation occuring in quickly one after the other.
Post 11 I've only been with jedi so that would affect the results. Although on all SBDs I have yet to see a burn in quick succession after i do Single2 then Single1.

Ok so if stacking is a bug, then using it is and exploit and we all can get banned for exploiting
