Thread: Stacking Flamer DOTs The Final Answer

I'm still confused as to how the FT stacks it's damage, or how to stack it. Im pretty sure it does because when I fired on an empty lair (3rd round of creature spawn was over) with FlameSingle2, I did 54,065 points of damage in ONE shot! MyFT does 1080 max damage. How do you explain that? For the life of me I am having a hard time trying to repeat that kind of damage again.

Well, I am not sure if our flames stack or not... but lets just say I tend to use all 4 specials "just in case".

Mayb this will help even tho it was said and seems to b ignored.... Our Dot does not stack.. I have also noticed that since Pub 11 the DOT no longer stacks. However, if more than one commando flames a target then both commandos get a tick which I dont believe is technically stacking because its 2 different peoples attacks effecting a target, in this case only you will get a "stack" which I dont consider a stack like I said. You be the judge of what you would call it, but thats not the point. In any case, why the point of bans was brought up is beyond me, you wont get banned for using something in game like our DOT it will only be removed, and everyone will then cry that we've been nerfed again. So, my point is really just reiterating Garvins point thats bein ignored for some reason. Some of you younger guys should learn this and the older guys should remember, Its not an issue til those who r important know about it.


As far as I know, the dot doesnt stack. If someone wants a psychic prediction of what will happen if these posts continue then I can share with you mine. The devs stumble on this post, Low and behold someone "finnaly estimated that the Flame Dot stacks" Oh no! the devs put it on the to do list that this is a major bug and its fixed in the next live update if it indeed happens because the devs have the code and they'll certainly know "for sure" Then the forums light up with hate posts once again because all of a sudden we dont even hit as hard anymore and our FT now feels worthless because the DEVs fixed something.


Well I dont like this prediction, and I dont mean to bring attention, but its obvious that this question will constantly be asked even tho the answer is simple.

First, Since Publish 11 in my honest to goodness knowledge our DOT has not stacked. Ive only seen it "stack" when 2 (or more)master commandos attack the same target and both get ticks. Thats all Ive seen as far as that goes since Pub 11. Cross my heart.

Second, if it does stack it would be considered a bug in which case it "should be reported" so it can be fixed.


Now if you dont like the second thing then I would forget about it and never ask again, if you think it stacks think it to yerself, if you dont think it does, think it to yourself. My battles since pub 11 show it does not.... I dont mean to offend anyone and dont feel your being flamed, im only stating my humble opioins, but please stop asking questions about such things unless u want them fixed...

Shoot something with a good amount of ham withonly those shots you wish to test. Remove your weaponand watch the overhead damage numbers. You will have your answer.

That is because when a lair is empty damage is supposed to be multiplied (5x I think), but it doesn't always work. Well anyways, on a target that has no armor or resist (a lair) it is pretty easy to get a flamesingle2 for over 10k damage which if the lair is empty turns into 50+k. And I shouldn't say empty, because I have seen the damage modifier happen too when the lair wasn't empty. It never happens to mission lairs as far as I've seen and will only happen on a random lair.
