I saw this in a fellow Commando's bio on the Ahazi forums:






Just an FYI, the absolute hard cap on Plasma Throwers is 100. I havent seen a single Krayt enhanced one below 105. And people are getting T21s into the mid 80's, with just as much or more damage?


What about the LLC? 82 freaking action cost

That's odd my PFTs have 126 Elemental Damage. Then about 480-910 Damage.

Speed is about 2.7 something.

It's my best DPS Weapon at 460, I'm still CL 71 so give me a break.

SAC though is pretty bad I think it's like 120. So um yeah.

Good DPS, but short range and SAC really make it suck.

It's sad our Profession is all about our Weapons suppose to being better then everyone's elses but there not. And we have no Specials. That basically makes us the worst Combat Prof.

And CH and SL aren't real Combat Profs so don't compare us to them, though they got their problems too.

Nope. Not an option.

A) They wont work on flamers

B) The other weapons do NOT have a powerup (except the LLC - which is speed) to lower the SAC


All outdamage the Plasma Thrower. Add in a powerup, and its NO contest.

Just an FYI, before someone comes in and flies off the deepend, I am NOT calling for a nerf on other weapons. They seem to be where they SHOULD be. Our weapons, however, are NOT. Ours need a drastic kick in the arse...


Either our SAC needs to be cut by 30 percent, or the damage of our weapons needs to go up 30 percent, across the board, and in many cases more (which I am in favor of).

I think the reason our weapons have slightly lower max damage and much higher min SAC is because they are supposed to innately have AOE.


But of course as we all know AOE doesnt work woth____ for commando weapons except as an agro magnet. Fix the AOE though.......

By the way, that flamer was made with 6x 184 -.64 Krayt Tissue, The T21 was 6x 164 -.4. The ALR's was around that. Now you see, when a flamer blows, when it is made with much better tissue, something is wrong

Even if the AoE worked, it would be inferior to other professions AoE. Ours is 100/40, others are 100/100. Take a rifleman, mix with carbs and pistols, and voila....Or Master Carbs/Master Pistol....Even if we use carb and pistol AoEs, we are STILL intended to be saddled with 100/40.

If you want 100/100 damage, you wouldn't use the PFT. The LBC is what you would need to do that. One shot with body/leg/head shot and you do more damage then the 100/100 AoE attacks.

Even ignoring this, if every shot is an AoE, even at 100/40 you'll be doing more damage (or at least the same damage for less action) then the person who can only do 100/100 every 2-3 shots.
