Thread: Speed or Dmg slice?
speed. it pisses me off that ive seen novices outdamaging me beacuse they can stack 2 dots while im still waiting on my first timer.
3s flamers.. wish i had one. Ive gone through 9 flamers and got damage slices on all
tac...I got a 2.8 spd one...nyah nyah...890 max...
I agree that spd is key...once the dots are applied it all comes down to spd...I do like the idea (can't believe I never tried it) of starting with a high damage ft, apply a dot, then switch to the speed ft....
hey tacwraith
I have a new speed sliced flame 3.9I will let go for 50k contact rynno in game on bria if ya want it.
Gotta be speed- - -
Mine is 2.9 with 891 max damage.. Its a beutiful thing.

My 2 Creds:
Speed for PvE: Most hard mobs required a bunchof flamesingles to go down. Therefore, speed is an awesome thing to have.
Dmg for PvP: After I would flame once, one of us died soon after. Good luck if your first hit misses, if your 1100 dmg FT hits, the're toast. Plain and simple.
damage for me please.
Accuracy isn't much of an issue at master and for the downtime my armor is more than enough to protect me when I'm a high ranking tka or fencer w/ melee mitigation and high defenses.
FT stats 540-1142 4.0
The question really is just style or substance.
Stock FTs don't typically *need* any more damage, or truly benefit from it in any tangible way. Yet on the otherhand you can't deny how downright cool it is to have a weapon with 1000+ max damage. ![]()
Of course, if you're interested in PVP effectiveness you'l want that speed slice. It takes a chunk out of the FT's biggest weakness - its delay. And for big-game hunting you'l want the higher speed so you can stack your DOTs faster.
