So I go out and buy my new flamethrower and get it sliced (It's 406-803 damage, 3.5 speed now) and I go test it out on a pack of diseased vrelts. I used flamesingle1 on their lair and one shot it. Then I proceed to flamecone1 the area and pretty much exterminate all of em. I turn around to head back to town and there's a group of 3 pistoleers and one of em shouts at me "get nerfed bi*ch". Have any of you had comments like this yet?

Yes, that is irony. Now you will see people on other boards complaining that commandos are too powerful. There will be petitions to nerf your profession. And everyone will rush to reroll to become a commando.

Flavor of the month...hah, bull**edit**. People won't just start grinding through unarmed and 40k combat exp to get weapons that fire every 8 seconds, and on top of that, still miss a lot.

I wouldn't worry too much. People will actualy start trying to play one, and then stop complaining.

Hey Firkora, dont get mad - all I wanted to say that you guys suffered a lot. But now you are on the way to be fixed, you will see everyone running to become a commando. Earlier everyone wanted to become a BH.

After being broken for months, you should go out and enjoy yourselves. Go kill the big stuff and milk being a little bit uber likemost profession has at some point.

Yeah, I misunderstood you, Bheema. Sorry about that. Just gotten heated up lately with everyone crying nerf nerf 2 hours after we finally get fixed

You can be a Commando too Bheema! Just finish off Carbine and Rifle in Marksman. Then, assuming that you didn't get it already, finish off Ranged Support. After that, take your next 40k of Combat XP and save it up for Novice Commando.

But wait, It gets better! Now you can get 150k of Heavy Weapon xp so you can actually get /flamesingle1. Heavy Weapon XP was impossible to get before you were a Novice Commando, so you have to start from scratch there. Now you can hit 1 creature/lair with a pretty nice hit .. ever 10-15 seconds that is.

But that's not where it ends .. after all you want the /flamecone1 he mentioned as well, right? That's another 250k of Heavy Weapon XP. Now you can do everything the original poster mentioned in his message.

Commando has by far the toughest requirements in the game. People will argue that Bounty Hunter does, but they're just wrong. I'd rather be a Master Scout (which I could have gotten WHILE getting Master Marksman) any day than have Unarmed Specialist. Now that you can't use VK's good luck with THAT requirement! And after all that, you can't run fast uphill, you can't harvest materials from corpses, and you can't make camps.

Also, after you've gotten Master Marksman and Unarmed Spec, let's take a look at that 40k of Combat XP for a second. A Bounty Hunter can use a pistol or carbine to get that XP and when they get to BH that pistol or carbine XP actually comes in handy! I touched on this earlier, but when you get to Commando whatever weapon XP you got while getting there is useless, since all that matters to Commandos is Heavy Weapon XP and Combat XP.

Anyway .. what I'm saying is that there is NO CHANCE of Commando becoming the "Flavor of the Month." It's just too much work to get there for not enough of a payoff once you arrive. The truth is .. the Flavor of the Month hasn't changed. It has been and will always be Bounty Hunter. They do more damage with their LLC than we can do with any of our weapons (except the weapons with limited charges). The specials they get for other weapons are much better than we can ever hope to get (see: /eyeshot).

No Bheema, the FotM is safe and sound for now. Commandos are better than we were - by a longshot - but I still don't think you'll see many around.

But yes, it's true. Getting Commando is annoying grind for around 60-70k combat exp (ranged support and novice).

I bet all this Commando backlash is mostly from KD spammers that are PO they cant win all the PVP battles anymore....suckers!!!

Don't let the haters get to you, I'm glad to see yaz got some love finally. Don't sweat the Pistoleers, their fundamental hate for the BH is still too great for another class to draw their ire, so you're safe for now. They are b****ingabout the LLC mostly, which seemsthe weakest of the revised heavy weapons from what I see.

And you guys are right, the complaints will stop when all the haters begin flocking to the professions they've ripped apart up until now. The reason being that some people can't be happy unless they think they're on top.
