Iam more excited over the loot system than the CU, I am a sucker for new art.

I noticed that there was no reply, there are three posts about this on the second page alone (including mine). I really hope this was just some sort of mistake that can be cleared up quickly.

I can some what understand Heavy Weapon Accuracy and Heavy Weapon Speed being left of for now since our mods are being changed back to the Generic brand with the Combat Upgrade...but at the very least Thrown Weapon Accuracy and Thrown Weapon Speed SHOULD be on that list...
Sure, we can use the pistol mods with our LP, but that only helps those Commandos who actually rely on the LP (ones who dabble BH, Pistoleer or Smuggler, for example, for more pistol specials).
To say I am unhappy about this is an understatement...I'm hoping at the very least for an answer of "Opps...left you guys off...sorry" or "That's coming around the same time in Loot Pass #2"...
As soon as I hear anything I'll let you know...

I think that hoping it will come by in pass 2 is being too hopeful. It seems to me like pass two will be reserved for more types of loot, rather then adding more of an established type.
We will see I guess. I just worry that since we are such a small group, they will not hear us.

How about suggesting that UNTIL the Combat R/U/B, they use our specific Heavy Weapon Speed/Accuracy loot drops. Then AFTER the Combat RUB, they change the loot drops to Generic. That would let us have something in the intervening months to keep us from being ostracized.
Better yet, fix the CA/AA to be generic as part of the loot drops enhancement so we don't have to wait for the Combat RUB!!!!
And I agree on the thrown modifiers. Of course, until the alleged 9 second throw speed bug is fixed, it would be almost self defeating to fight for a loot drop item that won't work due to an existing bug.
You're still the best Correspondent in any Galaxy.

Frankly im not terribly concerned over this...prolly will just be easier to combine the HW skills and make the skill tapes adhere to the new system, and change all the existing stuff to the new system. Think about it, they'd also have to change all this new loot stuff as well...and that could possibly be time consuming.
The HW tapes are broken anyways, might as well fix them...change the existing ones, THEN add new ones...rather than adding new ones, only to change em a month later.
And on the Thrown Weapon tapes *shrug*...who knows, maybe this means that the new loot tapes will be HW + TW combined...?

That the kind of answer I'm hoping TH will share with us...just something to tell us that our issues have been considered in this new plan rather then chalk it up to another thing to add to our Post CU Top 5 list...

Hmm hopefully he will...but thinking about a possible combination of Thrown Weapon and HW skill tapes...it DOES make sense afterall...
Think about it...what other profession (aside from BH/marksman...) requires TWO specific types of accuracy/speed skill tapes? BH and Marksmen require 3 types as they're a composite of 3 different types of weapons. BUT with us, thrown weapon accuracy/speed is ONLY in our profession alone...and technically is a hvy weapon...which shares a profession that has HW (in terms of skill tapes) capabilities...
Only BH/Commando share the HW skill tapes atm, so it makes sense having 1 general pool again...but thrown weapons? Only commandos have the mods to use them effectively...making TW tapes specific only to commando...it would be just a hell lot easier combining them with the HW pool.

What do they mean by "buffs"? Are these reusable items that confer temporary modifiers, or are they consumables, or possibly wearable equipment with permanent mods?

That's what it looks like temporary buffs, with only a few uses as loot.
