Thread: suicide single I and II

Well now that our flamethrower is treated like a rifle in regards to melee damage, I think they should change the name of our specials to Suicide I and II. How can they do this to us? We had better kill the MOB with our special shot or else we are dead. At 2X the damage, I 'm only going to last about 2 hits against any decent level MOB before i'm incapped. Hopefully the it won't death blow and it will die from the DOT while i'm laying on the ground counting the stars. I can see making it a ranged weapon but considering the range of our specials (16m) at least make it a pistol in terms of defense. Now in order to hit anything at range i'm going to have to rely on my heavy weapons. Looks like time to run some high paying missions to pay for them.Ooh, Wait they nerfed them too.

A rifleman doesnt shoot from 16m.

Dont even start to compair the we have dealt with it topics.

We are in LUNGE range to get off a special. You are far enough that you can switch weapons after your HS3

Lets hold the mutual agression between Riflemen and Commandoes here guys... The real enemy is the Dev that thought up this as the "solution" to their poorly thought out game mechanics. I am both a Rifleman and a Commando, and I can tell you that this "solution" is going to be my sole cause of quitign this stinking game.

Rifleman shouldnt receive the x3 damage multiplier for holding a rifle - specially not with teleporting MOBs (another brilliant "fix" on their part) AND Commandoes shouldn't either. It just makes no sense. Rifle's make great melee weapons (look at the AK47 for historical examples - they're large clubs!) and Commandoes have to be within 15m to use their specials...

We should rally our two professions together and petition the Devs to find a better, more amenical solution to this horrendous situation, not go at each others throats because were both in the same F***ed boat now...

Totally agree Caylie. Maybe if both our professions scream loudly enough, the devs will hear us through their artificial haze of a "job" "well" "done."

The modifiers should be ONLY for states (ie, prone, kneeling) not for wielding a specific class of weapon. And I totally agree with you on the historic aspect of your claim. We've all seen the movies. All I have to say on that is, "Fix Bayonets!." A pistolwhip should totally not be able to outdo a pigsticker in the gut.

Hey, Commandos, we can all just pray that it was an oversight and will be fixed, of course.... AND WHAT THE HELL DO WE HAVE UNARMED IV FOR IF WE ARE THE BIGGEST PANSIES POSSIBLE IN MELEE?

Wow...Just use your god **edit** special and unequip it right when you shoot- not that hard. I had flamethrower IV...Just use it, then unequip. I don't see the difficulty here. It still gives an insane DoT so whats the problem?

Oh another thing....It will actually make it so you have to PLAY the game and be more on your toes, which is a good thing.

The problem comes when you want to be a commando as opposed to a l33t d00d, stuffing your FT into your pocket while you wait for the cooldown to expire. I mean, we shouldn't have to sacrifice the spirit of the game in order to kill a white mob. I will agree with you, though, I had thought of that, and, theoretically, it would work out alright... in some situations, as long as you don't miss and as long as you get in the first shot.

Since this game is not a skill oriented one... in that you don't actually execute commands, you just decide what your character does, the issue should become one of picking your fights wisely, drawing mobs away into manageable piecemeal battles, etc. Rather than just pressing a button to win.

Anyway, you're a TKA (master, If I remember right.) So OBVIOUSLY you will want to drop the FT. Commando DOT plus TKA toughness and dps? Uber.

Mintage,

So I guess this game should be renamed "Macro Wars" The person who has the best written macro wins?

Well yeah...Its not like each class has 1 special and thats it. Most combat classes have a good amount of specials throughout their tree that you can choose from. I'd rather want to have to manage what skills I use, and what attacksI use at what time then just hit 'Attack' on a guy and sit there.

And I'm not a big fan of macro's, I just have all my specials up top and hit the key for whatever I need...Like if a stun doesnt land do it again etc. I have to take on and off my vibro knucklers because of ham costs etc. I suppose you could make a macro that does 'Equip flamethrower; flamesingle2; equip launcher pistol' or something along those lines

....rifleman get to fire their specials from 64m away. You are not in lunge range where as us commandos out there have to walk up to thepeople and even then we arent guarenteed to land our flamedot.
