Ok, game designers, whats up? I saw the title commando and thought damn, no one can beat a commando... i was wrong. I am a Shock trooper and have not won a singel pvp because a FLAMETHROWER couldnt hitanother player even though he was fully engulfed in flame on every attempt. A commando SHOULD be the the best fighter of any profession, but instead is the weakest. All of these negative threads about commando i agree with. Why dont you just eliminate commando as a profession and save people the aggrivation of finding out how pathetic you have made it.How is aPISTOLEER a better fighter than a commando? EVERYONE i have dueled as a commandohassaid that commandos are the easiest to kill cause they can't hit anything. Its true.
Wake up gamedesigners... this is pathetic. You may as well make the commando professioninto STEET CLEANER, cause you're gonna be scraping your ownbutt of the sidewalk if you fight anyone in pvp. I am thinking about just quiting all together cause the three best professions in this game happen to be the weakest cause your updates have made it that way; ch, bh, and commando. Why not make artisans more powerful than commandos in combat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? everyone else is. This is an outrage and i am sorry i even bought the game after seeing what you developers have done to the most prestigious profs in the game. Seems to be successful one needs to be a pistoleer or rifleman and now even tk. Well instead of continually making these profs stronger, why not start to make the other profs compete, otherwise everyone, like me, is going to drop the less common profs and jump on the bandwagon. I want to be a commando, but not at the expense of my fun. If you just left things the way they were, people would be happy, but i guess in real lifeNOW a person with a glock can do more damage than someone with a flamethrower or a rocket laucher. Thanks again for ruining all of my aspirations in this game... now i have to settle for something i dont like. I am prolly just going to end up stopping my subscription and buying a game that doesnt ruin my fun like this. OH yeah if you are thinking about being commando, dont. It really is the worst prof in the game and it takes up a lot of skill points to prove that to you. Rifleman seems to be the bestalong with pistoller and TK. Take my advice... stay away from this profession.

LOL you are wrong commando is a broken profession probably the most broken in the game , ive never lost to commando in pvp yes you do hit very rarely though , and i not a whiner and im also a commando ,
But i think it a shame what they done to commando and we really are useless in pvp at the moment unless you have some skill to compliment with commando

We get a nice big flash bang animation and they think we are PvP gods 
Commando master of the crow scarers, all our weapons go pop, bang, boom ... they just dont hurt any thing.

Commando is broken to some extent, only real useful thing is the flamethrower in PvP and the HAR is a weaker version of it - so there's one useless tree right there.
I think Commando needs to be addressed and made into a great class with different solder-type weapons, defense upgrades (so an elite soldier doesn't know how to dodge or know much of anything about defense against melee or ranged??!) and the special **edit** needs to be easier to make and therefore cheaper.
However, "worst profession" should be awarded to DE, merchant or some **edit**ty class like that. At least commando has one useful tree - flame.

Yes but DE just got fixed and completely over halled , the DE in our guild is makeing a fortune and the dev's are still not finished with DE as they alot better then us at the moment

The cold hard truth is that against a composite clad enemy buffed to the eyeballs you stand little to no chance of winning a PvP duel. Don't bring a flamethrower to a gunfight in this game, just don't.
Commando is and will always be more of a PvE profession than a PvP one, atleastwith the good composite available in addition toGodlike buffs -sad but true.
The inability to target mind doesn't make it any easier either....

I mastered Commando abouttwo weeks ago and I've already dropped it to pursue Bounty Hunter. The flamethrower was nice to kill gurks and baz nitches, but pretty much sucked for high level creatures and in PvP.
Commando is a waste of skill pts.
And don't call me a noob. I've had the game since release and have tried other professions.

Hold on everyone...don't flame this person...they are correct...I too can 1 shot kill in PVP using my Flame Thrower...of course, they should expand on that...it requires certain breaks...
- They must be within 16m
- They must have no buffs (food or medical)
- They must be naked (no armor)
- They must have no Heat Resists in play
- They must have lower Melee and Ranged Defense then +50
- They must not be able to get a shot/special off on me (not much I can do out of range or on my back)
- Preferably they must be in a Beginning Profession or a Crafter with no Combat Skills
But when all of those requirements are met, Heck...I too own PVP...Now if we could just make sure that the Dev's force everyone to meet those requirements all the time and we are set...And we better not complain one bit or we will of course be "whiners"...Screw the idea of trying to generate a balance...
To be blunt...Commando does not "own" PvP...far from it...We "own" certain situations, like mentioned above, but not the average PvP fight...Sounds to me like those people you are fighting typically are sub-par...you need to find better PvPs who will show you the error of your thoughts....We have more Melee Weaknesses then any Ranged Profession...And We have More Ranged Weaknesses then most Melee Professions...You could use the arguement that there are professions, like Bounty Hunter, that have less defenses then us, but they can also Kite!!! So they make up for their weaknesses with valid strategy...we don't have those strategic options...

For the origional poster. Try using /aim.
Make macro's for your specials like...
/aim;
/flamesingle2;
And stick it on your toolbar instead of a basic /flamesingle2. It helps a little bit with hitting the bastiges.

Well, the original poster seems to be one of those Console Gaming PvP people. You should not ever be a Uber Killing God, no matter what profession you are. Also, you have to remember this: when you PvP, you WILL lose sometimes. Get over it.
I am working my way up the Commando Tree, and I think it is awesome. I do not ever PvP, though. I have no interest in doing that.
But I do like roasting Stormies
They have real nice death animations.
I don't think the profession is "broken" in the PvM respect. I suggest, that if you want to PvP then do Pistoleer or TKM. Or, next time you get spanked by someone in Pvp, ask them what their template is, then you will have an idea of what to do. So that next time, with some grinding, YOU will be the Pvp winner.
Whining will get you nowhere.

We used to be gods... That was when the developers finally fixed the game and provided us with actual working Flame Thrower.
The dreaded flame DOT was so powerful, that the Dev nerfed it in Publish 6.
Old tactic: /flamesingle2;/flamecone2;/flamesingle1;/flamecone1 and start kiting... The combined flame DOT will drop many high end creatures.
We relied on the DOT to kill.
New tactic: /flamesingle2 or /flamecone2, and switch to another profession's weapon, and kit. lol
The new DOT is useless.
All thanks to the nerf cryers...
