All elite combat professions that currently require 1 tree pre-req, they now will require 2 trees as pre-reqs...All hybrid combat professions are going down to requiring 2 trees as well as pre-reqs, but they will still cost 15 points more as hybrid professions over elite professions (they still have to have 2 novice boxes vs. 1 for elite professions).


Why are you upset over lowering of requirements? Commandos aren't getting any weaker, in fact, we are getting made stronger...We never in the past got any type of boost to explain our higher point cost in the past, so really this brings us better into line to where we should be AND it allows us more dabbling room (and dabbling will become more important post-CU). So again, why is it a bad thing that they are lowering our requirements? I've hinted that post-CU, dabblers WILL NOT be as strong as Masters, so there will be emphasis on Mastering Professions (we'll likely see a lot more Double Masters and no more Triple Masters)...And all the combat professions are being brought closer together to make things more fair and increase the possibility of uniqueness in template building (the devs are working hard to kill the notion of "the flavor of the month" my making each profession's pluses and minues be more strategic and not perfect for every situation).

I must say thank you again to garvin and starnick for bringing us this information, and after reading more about this im going to have to hang up the chef's hat and manuver the rest of the points to commando and then bang out BH. thats just too good of a opertunity to pass up.

i think im going to turn this conversation around.


i think the infomation we have got is very pleasing it gives everyone proffesion many different routes it wont just me if you a fencer take up pistoleer for dodge i think hopefully if its been done right everything will be balanced so that many people will combine two very different proffesions making PvP and PvE alot more interesting. anyone with a POSATIVE opinion on the updates please feel free to post below because i want to enjoy reading these fourms not get infuriated with all the /flames and the criticism.

Well, i know that the document posted at the "CU Update" is a general one (a lot of specifics/details are let in the dark). But....i' m, in overall, really, really happy with the changes that are coming.


And reading the cries of all the "temploiters" (aka "i want to solo everything in God Mode") at the general topic, is like celestial music to my ears..something is done in the right direction


P.S. I know, i know...a lot of the negative views have a good motive...but as someone has said previously, "a lot of people are jumping to conclusions"

I'm upset because as a Bounty Hunter, I feel like were getting shafted. I know people are saying now there's gonna be a whole bunch of different types of bounty hunters. But people need to realize with the population boom, there goes the uniqueness. Commandos, Pistoleers, Carbiners are still going to have there Unique Weapons and such, Bounty Hunters looks like they aren't, they are going to have to realy on other professions for weapons and possibly combat skills.That's the only reason why i'm upset over this. You may not agree with me, but do you understand where i'm coming from?

I hate to support the devs but i think you are jumping the gun here. You need to see the profession docs before you can say things like that. You have no idea about what the BH profession is like post-CURB and neither do I. SO until we do just relax.

But i'm just voicing my concern, even though it maybe not be valid or could very well be valid, we don't know at the moment and I do realize this.

The new reqs sounds good, however my fear is the skillpoint costs will be changed (possibly like the way Jedi skillpoints are now) with 8 (or 6), 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 sp. Plus those TKM/Commandos will have to pick up 2handed 4 if they want to keep TKM, what's up with that???
