You may also find a few in the area of the map near Jabba's Palace


Last I heard they were still dropping 'Good'pearls, and assault armor cores.

Today on Lowcaa group of 8 of uskilled about 10 krayts. One pearl was looted and some scales along with assault cores. I don't know what the drop rate was before so I can't really compare it to what it is now. These krayts (canyon and juvenile) were found outside of the Valley of Shadows (probably doesn't mean anything to you being on a different server, but it's on Tatooine on the West end of the map).

seems to me that the pearl drop rate has been upped majorly, but tissues are dropping much less frequently. 4 hour hunt yesterday yileded 9 pearls a lot of armour crap and 1 set of tissues. Today 2 hour hunt yielded 6 pearls and some armour crap and 1 set of tissues. Very very annying...

Killed 4 Krayts (3 Juvenile and one Canyon) on Infinity the other day (near Jabbas Palace). Got one pearl and two sets of tissue. So drop rate seemst to be ok and there are some tissues out there.


I hunted a lot of them before CU and it almostseemed to change with the days what was dropped. One day mostly armour, one day 9 out of 10 Tissues...

The wild krayt spawn around the graveyard POI on many servers has been effected by the placing of faction bases on Tatooine.


These bases cause problems with the krayt spawn and often you end up with no spawn at all, apart from the static adolescent/grand/ancient spawn.


It doesn't look like there is a fix for this until the proposed "Planetary Facelift", which is going to change the entire mob spawning system. But no word on what publish that will be in yet.


In the short term, I guess you could actively blow up all the faction bases you can to try to get the spawn working again.

What is the ideal pet to get through the krayt defence? my pets couldnt touch them, only thing that did damage was my rifle, the easier ones are only cl82 so i should have no problem.

a smart Ranger can kill any creature in this game, including an ancient Krayt.
a Ranger who hasn't learned to use the tools efficiently will die. Painfully.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.
