Too bad they have 70% blast resists in addition to AR3.

This my friend is the reason I stuck to my guns and continued to pursue my path to Commando. Although I'm not going to max it out(only working Heavy Support & Flamethrower)... I am happy that they have finally listened... and made some of the necessary changes. I only wish I had the room to go max on Acid Rifle. Its looking up for us... soon we will be the well known AT-ST killers... I can't wait.

You aint going to be an AT ST killer when they drop you in one shot.

I don't expect to solo an AT-ST....nor should anyone else for that matter...

but 3-4 Commandos with a medic or two keeping them alive should be able to take down an AT-ST...and it takes 2 shots from an AT-ST to do me in hehe...at least everyone I have fought thus far.

1 Commando should be able to kick the crap out of an AT ST. Friggin game is Pokemon wars. Only game I know of where pets are more powerful than pc's its a bunch of crap.

Well, with the damage potential that we could have...i think the dev's are afraid that any MOB and any NPC would be insignificant if you bring 6-12 commando's. Imagine 12 commando's unloading at once for 2000-4000 damage. Multiply that by 12 and you're doing a good 24k-48k damage in 1 exchange. How much HAM does a krayt have? Or an at-st? A solid group of commando's could make CH pet's insignificant, or faction pets that cost a LOT of FP to get, insignificant.

I would not be happy if on a battle field i bring out my 2 at-st's and WHAM, 1 goes down in the first exchange as a dozen commando's hit it. That's close to 10k FP gone in 5 seconds.

They have to balance our weapons for mass pvp and hard mobs and npc'c. Otherwise, a group of commando's could walk up to Vader, unload a big shot and drop him. *L*

The thing is.. A group of 4 with an at-st pet should not be able to take out a group of 10-15 people.. It should be common sense that if you brought that out vs 10-15 ppl it was going to die.. period. I realize that it's an expensive faction perk, but I also realize how overpowering they are as well. There needs to be risk and a little balance(thats an evil word sometimes)involved in it's use. I'm not a big fan of perma-death faction pets either.. that's alot of time spent gaining faction to have it smashed to bits.. but seriously.. it should be dead vs that many ppl.

And yea I get that feeling too. We're kinda caught as is the rifleman.. the damage they can deal now is crazy. And if they boost us to where we are supposed to fit in.. it goes off kilter.. something needs to give here somewhere. And thats for the dev's minds to figure out. We were supposed to fit in somewhere.. but for the investment in skill points we are spending.. anything less than big damage is unacceptable.

Actualy, i've taken out a group of 10 people with my 2 at-st's at anchorhead and in coronet city on corellia on a few occassions. The point with pets is that you don't attack them...you attack the master. If those 10-15 would attack ME i would die and they would win. But attacking my pets while i hit them from afar? That's not smart.

But now, riflemen and commando's COULD easily drop an at-st if they concentrate on it. I play a commando and i don't want our damage to get lowered, no, it should be raised. But...

I think we should be able to use our BIG attacks once every 30seconds to a minute. And that the acid rifle and flame thrower should be our main weapons. So, you begin combat by unloading 1 big shot, then switch to acid rifle and flame thrower for the rest of the fight. As it stands, our acid rifles and flame throwers are GARBAGE so we think we need the big hits of our charged weapons every 5 seconds. That would unbalance the game.

No, fix our flamethrowers and acid rifles BIG time so wecan use those as our main weapons while our charged weapons can be used every so often for that BIG hit. At least that's how i would like to see it.

Makes vague sign language gestures to try and get the point across:

The AT/ST has 75%Blast resistance and ar 3 so NO damage bonus and 75% damage resitance.Explain again how deadly the RL will be against it?It will however pretty much make sure you will be the second to die(after the rifleman..after all he at least has a special to up his damage and can concentrate on one pool).

When calculating DPS, you must account for AR of the target. The HPBC does not do 200, only 177.

The HAR is not anywhere near par with the Laser Rifle, once you factor in the 1.25*1.25=+56% damage vs AR0 the LR receives, and the -75% damage the HAR receives vs AR2. The Scout Blaster is a better weapon.

All this speculation isn't going to help matters. DPS still might not be great, but if our specials are still going to do 2 and 3 times the damage as well as set our targets on fire for a bit, then we need to take that into consideration as well. Besides, burn damage isn't effected by armor rating =)

I haven't seen any mention of concern for the fact that Popo announced that he is most likely quitting the game! Doesn't anyone have feelings about this? Personally I don't see why popo would quit because of the server copy thing. as TC currently sits, there are not enough individuals from certain professions to properly test things. While I love all the help that popo has given to us these past weeks in regards to keeping us commandos in on the loop, I think it's selfish of him to be quitting. It seems like he has ruled the world of weaponsmith on the whole TC and now that some others with talent and knowledge will come in to HELP EVERYONE OUT, he is upset that he is going to be dethrowned. Once again I hate saying that, it's like calling your mom a NAZI or something.

Popo maybe you could elaborate on your decision so that I can understand it better.
