You will also need to level Pistoleer with a normal Pistol to actually to be able to use the specials, basically to get better with the Launcher Pistol you hafta use another standard pistol, so my experience with a Launcher Pistol doesn't make me better with it. It just doesn't make sense to me, my remainging skill points should be mine to choose cos atm I feel forced into being a Pistoleer...

That's why I as saying last week I didn't want the launcher pistol to get HWs XP, but nobody was listening so I went a ahead and grinded out some pistol XP and I've almost leveled out all my shots. If not for one defensive bonus I'd be done and I might pass on the fan shot anyway. But I'll lose defense vs KD plus 30 if I do that. But now that I've done that, I'm glad the launcher pistol gives HWs XP

Any defensive bonus you want is there for the taking, you just have to decide how much and which ones becausewe can't have it all.

The only problem i've seen is the acid rifle at 16m...it is a RIFLE. Rifles are LONG range. i mean mobs can melee at 15m.

Technically its a Super Soaker.. lol

Apparently someone involved with SOE (Dev or otherwise) logged on as a commando and realized we weren't making it all up. The changes actually look good.

well this was a fun thing for the commandos to do when you guys were depressed. Now that you're happy here is my fanka short in honor of holo who after weeks of being gone, in two days got **edit** straight.

I think a lot of this is really great news in terms of promised potential. I'll wait to see evidence of actual verifiable and quantifiable changes before I endorse it more fully.

Re: the HAR, since it is a heavy rifle, I think it should have more AP capability than the DX2. Probably medium comes to mind; i.e., enough to get through infantry armor with moderate acid protection but not enough to make fast work of hardened targets.

Woot i KNEW if i stuck with commando i would turn out alright! My favorite part is the dmg and how the wepaons are going to be MUCH less expensive without the specific components!

Wohoo!! This is great news!!! I didn't read pages 2 to 5 of the thread, so excuse me if I repeat somethings that were already said. This is so much better than Q's "everything is working as intended" post. THANK YOU! I think I said in another post that I would cancel my account unless I thought something good was going to be done about the Commandos. This is exactly what I was hopeing for. Commandos shouldn't be a joke anymore.
