Thread: After reading the post on tomorrows Update, I had enough.. e' finito
You know something is wrong when you start a correspondence programs and they quit.
IMO it's ridiculous to even have a test center server. Most MMO's have them and it's got to be a morbid fascination with pain and frustration that makes people do it. The average player is not going to take time away to start over and test your game. Oh wait I'm already paying to do that.

Between this and your other post I have no doubt in my mind that you are the least qualified person to address commando problems.
If you dont like me its no reason to start flaming in these forums. Between this post and your others you apparently have nothing logical to add to the main issues at hand.
So, this is what it takes to get a dev to post anything on these boards ?
Woopie.
OK. Now, this isn't meant to be a flame, but seriously, some people in this thread have been pretty unfair. Ralph came in here, and specifically explained that the requests from correspondents came right at the close of development for the first patch. This means that if they wanted to get your suggestions/fixes in, they would have to postpone the patch indefinitely, as the changes being suggested by you, as well as every other profession (you're not the only broken profession, believe me) would require architectural changes to the game code, as well as a fair amount of design time to try to anticipate any possible negative repercussions these changes would have on other parts of the game.
Developing a game is NOT EASY. Hot fixes for simple things like how long something is down when you use a knockdown shot, or how much damage something deals are easy. But reworking a completely broken piece of functionality can take unknown amounts of time. The developers are going to be contacting the correspondents today on the issues they've received so far, so I would wait before attacking them further.
As for the commando profession, it sucks to hear, but maybe you should try something else until the profession is fixed. Or quit the game. Though I don't think it's worth quitting over, maybe you do? Hm... anyway, go easy on them, commando seems like a class that people didn't test thoroughly enough (if at all) during beta, so what can you do? Bitch at the devs for not getting people to tell them what's not working? I don't think that makes much sense.. Seriously, just work with them. It's a HARD JOB to write video games. No job is worse than one where the person you answer to in the end is an average age of 16.
Just be reasonable... I'm sure they're working as hard as they can to get the necessary fixes ready, but things can only happen so fast. They ARE human.
They can fix creature handerlers being too uber, they can fix teras kasi artist from actually being fun to play to nerfing them to uselessness, but yet they can't fix commando's to at least be playable!!!? makes no sense!

Why is it that morons are so self-incriminating on this forum?
Ever take a look at http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=commando&message.id=6038 ? A lot more than you've ever done.
Like I said, you are one of the least qualified people to address commando issues.

Um maybe that was due to the fact that the entire commando skill tree was altered 1 week before beta ended so there was not any time given to test it out.
Also let'ssay it again Raph not Ralph, Raph not Ralph no L so it would be Ralph - L = Raph. I maynot like the guy but at least post his name right.
Maybe the reason why the TC is woefully underpopulated is because people don't want to spend their $15 dollars a month helping you beta test your game. And i'm definatly not going to spend all my playing time on the TC testing your broken Commando Profession. Though i do have a lot of free time on my hands since i'm a Novice Commando and i can't play correctly.
Its funny how you suggest that we pay you... to test your game. If i'm going to go through all the trouble to grind a character on the TC to Novice Commando to TEST your bugs.. why aren't you PAYING ME??? And why should i help YOU with your problem when i try to get some in game customer support, and i get IGNORED? What kind of SCAM are you running here?
Oh guess what, i'm sure i won't get a response from you on this, so i'm getting ignored again.
Since i'm such a big fan of Starwars, and MMORPG's.. i'm most likley not going to quit playing for a while.. so basicly you've grabbed me by the NUTS and are squeezing.. at this point.. very hard.. and it hurts.

Well, my apologies as far as his name goes. I don't think it matters that much, but I truly and deeply apologize for making you have to read his name as I so unforgivably misspelled it. Heh.
Seriously though, what should they do then? I mean, they haven't had the time to consider any possible drawbacks of overhauling your profession. What do you recommend? A hotfix that may only cause more issues? Or incremental patches that fix them over time? OR maybe they should just disable the profession, piss all of you off, lose your support, and re-enable it when it's fixed, hoping to only lose maybe half of you as customers in the process? Honestly, I think the second option's the only one worth trying, and I'm sure that's how they'll do it. Unfortunately, they had already committed themselves to 'the big patch', and could not delegate the new issues to anyone on the team. I'm fairly sure this is the case..
So finally, the point is, be patient or don't. Bitching about it won't help at all. It's counterproductive.
The main problem is the Lack of Communication with the community and the inability to fix very simple problems with the Commando profession. There are very complex problem and very simple ones. None of which have been fixed yet so when your paying $15 a month and stuck with a profession that is fubar what are you supposed to do.. be happy?
