didn't read all the pages so maybe someone wrote that already but i think commando should be able to operate a BLAF as well (ya know heavy repeating blaster, the thing massively used in star wars universe, ya know the one this game is supposed to be based on).

BLAF would be the equivalent of a machine gun in fps (like mg42 in Mohha, wolfenstein, bf1942 and what else) something that roots you but with a very high firepower, maybe with a little shield on it, but you couldn't dodge while you fire it, i mean damn we are in STAR WARS galaxies, why the heck do we see flamies and cheapo weapons when there's a crapload of super items in the SW universe to use ??

Like the blastech mini grenade launcher ? If that's not a commando weapon then what is ? This thing fires different type of nades, explosives, fire, neurotox gas, ice nades (that'd be an AOE ranged knockdown for equivalent), nets, and a lot of stuff, why don't we have that ?

I mean we are called commandos but we have just a poor flamie that hits at 15m and that doesn't do more dmg than a tkm fighting bare handed, that's just so illogical, as illogical as a rifleman running around doing sniper shots, i mean **edit**, where do the devs live ? did they even watch Star Wars movies ? Or know anything about combat or warfare ? It's a game ok, but damn think a little before doing such absurd stuff. SW universe is maybe the richest sci fi universe possible RPG (WEG especially) have a crapload of items, weapons, ressources, armors, and stuff to use, and all what we see is a flamethrower for a weapons specialist ?

I see the Commando as the continuation of the Master Marksman. An expert soldier with skills continuing from all the Marksman disciplines. Not as skilled in any one weapon as an expert 'specialised' ranged profession but with the flexibility to use the best weapon for the situation.

Marksman weapons line - slight increase in pistol/carbine/rifle speed and accuracy. Maybe a third of what a Ranged specialist would get and none of their weapons or specials. just enough that it's worthwhile to tactically use the Marksman weapons.

Assault weapons line - These would be the new commando weapons, the ever requested assault rifle, or maybe add in a fixed HAR and the LP. The Assault weapons should be more powerful than Marksman weapons but have damage type limitations and separate accuracy/speed mods so as not to stack too high.

Heavy weapons line - Rocket Launchers and grenades etc.

Ranged support/defence tactics line - continuation of the Marksman Ranged Support line, add in some defence mods and maybe some skills to continue off the Unarmed IV pre-reqs.

so make it that way better defense/tactics something that shouts commando!!!! soldier kilers etc
