no no no. when you think commando, you think about gernades, super heavy weapons and things no one else can do. unarmed is stupid. think about it, you get NO melee mods and what are you going to do, punch something to death? you need the ranged suport definately but maybe go master marksman. that makes it more realistic and fun. give us special attack and BRING BACK LIMITED USE WEAPONS!!!!!! there was nothing PRE cu better than shooting the RL and watching hte HAM bar drop to about 1/2 with one use.

When I think big guns, grenades, a sour grim on your face and invincible mode on, I think Rambo and Arnold. And I think about movie heroes thats so ridicolously invincible and unreal, that real grunts go "**modbot**? How many rounds in that clip? **modbot**? He fired a LAW inside a van, with closed doors and didnt fry anything? **modbot**? He had a grenade blow 5m away, and he only got a lil scratch on his pinky toe?"
Thats a kids image of the hero soldier, the invincible man with the big gun, surviving everything from snakebites to nuclear explosions, while the enemy falls in so huge numbers, sometimes you can almost count 5 enemy soldiers dead per bullet fired...

I would say no change required. Ive always considered the unarmed tree to be needed for the extra strengh to lift the weapons. Would be nice to use CoB from that line though

But tbh it makes no sense to have melee prereq for a only ranged Proffession. So i have to say we need new prereq since we are no melee dabble template anymore.
I would suggest Scout Trapping/Explorer for a change. But i can see the BH's all dabble then in Commando when we are powerfull again and the nerfbat swings again for us...
KEEP COMMANDOS AWAY FROM BH DABBLE !!! WE DONT WANT NERFES !!!
Cause of that i would even more like to have 29 sp used for crap but to see we get nerfes due succesful Jedi Hunters with Commando Skills.

Having been a Ranger, I can say that I would love for Trapping to be the preReq for Commando, especially since I still have Trapping IV in my template
(I'm holding on to it until the Ranger Revamp because when that hits, I thought I read that all trapping will go to Scout, so once again I'll be able to trap CL80 creatures again.
)
Even though the traps only affect creatures, with the thrown grenades and the thrown traps, it makes sense to me that it should be included in Commando. I use traps mainly whenhunting (either solo or in groups)because it's a good way to pull creatures from a lair, even aggressive mobs, one at a time; key is not to have a weapon equipped until they're out of range with the rest of the lair... (lesson painfully learned
)
So, I agree with Trapping overriding Unarmed as a pre-req.
