UDPATE: Straight from Tiggs' mouth (or keyboard... or whatever) it isn't down for the CU.
HOWEVER, it has been CONFIRMED, the CU IS SCHEDULED TO HIT TC TODAY!!!
We just don't have a timeframe yet.

Nope this is a hot fix publish we needed tested first. We have CU on schedule to hit TC today provided nothing big happens to stop this.

WOW, that's a nice offensive/defensive combo. Any other combo beat that?
That will probably depend on how effective crowd control is against the majority of mobs. A MComm/MSmuggler has offense: 8, defense: 4 and CC: 6. If CC works against the majority of the mobs than CC may be better than Defense. If CC only works on 50% of the mobs than the higher defense of the MComm/MBH combo may be the more viable option. Also, there may be a difference on the effectiveness of CC abilities between low level mobs and high level encounter mobs. I'm waiting to hear specifically on how CC will be handled and it's effectiveness on mobs of all ranges before deciding between MComm/MBH or MComm/MSmuggler.

Oh man I'm thinking the same thing too.... would love to have a good reason to go back to my old profession combo.
You may be surprised. The way the professions are laid out now you would probably be much better playing a ranged profession combined with commando rather then TK. ^_^
and anyway - are not commandos all about the boom?
then May I suggest Commando/Rifleman
offense 10 <----- big boom!
defense4
crowd control 4
*my hint of the day is complete*

I'm going to rely on all of you to figure out what the CU looks like. I need to pound out some experience on Shadowfire just so I'm as ready as possible when CU goes live.
Oh, and would it be possible to start class combo threads once the commando line is properly vetted out on it's own? It would make it easier if I can just go to the 'Commando/Smuggler' or 'Commando/Rifleman' thread instead of having to rely on the search option to find little snippets of information.

Ok, I think we should go into this as organized as possible. We need to all pick a starting city, then we need to set up some type of organized settlement (city) and guildhall. Then we can go and test. We should probably just go in one large group to grind through marksman and brawler as quickly as possible. Plus we can try out limited group tactics. (Anyone want to pick up medic and go through it enough to give us support?)
As was said in the other thread, let's not overreact to anything we don't like and spam/complain to the devs. We need to figure out what it is that we don't like and present it to the devs. Tha gives us a much higher chance of getting it fixed than whining does.
One other note, I may miss a bit of the beginning, depending on when it goes up. So I'll get the teamspeak up as soon as I can when I get back.
Oh, one other thing,
W00T! 300th post!
