Your one of those people that takes things the wrong way.

I never said I didnt like what your doing. Did I?How am I trying to intimidate you by trying to flex MC title? My point is, there are a lot of posts about this already and most people who are new flat out ask, we simply tell them that the har is bad and to stay away from it, and try to stick only to HPBC's and RL's. Im only statingMC as to show some credibility that I am very firmiliar with the commando proffesion. The day the har was "fixed", there were posts that same day about it still being terrible. A lot of the commandos that tried the HAR said they only played with it for a few and put it away. Browse through the forums, youll see plenty of those posts.

Whats this about you being a master before me? Ok, well Im happy for you!

I do agree the har could be very good with AP,but with higherspeed as well,as I actualy said this ( the AP part ) my previous post. Yes, its nice that your gathering hard evidence, thats all fine but its already understood through out the community well enough. Hard numbers arent needed when such a blatent flaw is there.

What exacly do I say to aggrivate you? That I said "It nice your doing these tests and all, but we know already"? My posts on your other thread , well, you singled me out. I dont recall a single person that would agree with you.... to an extent. Yea, you were right about not being "nerfed" per say, but you made it with a tone to say were fine and dandy to say the least. Is it my choice of wording? Perhaps, but take it with salt if you need to, I dont post personal attacks and try to show that Im better than anyone.

Never said I dislike you either... I didnt sinlge you out and called you a moronor a newb.

Yes, I noticed money isnt hard to come by, but I cant sit for 2 hours doing the same thing. I tend to get bored and play something else.

Now for the constructive part of my post: Hey! Great job on the tests, cant wait to see the stats. They might proove invaluable in the struggle to imrove commandos! ( Happy now ? )

PS. Leave yo mama jokes out of this, those are great

"If you look around the site, it details all the speed and damage mods for all Pistol, Rifle, Carbine, Unarmed and Polearm specials. The speed equations are all the same for all the professions. I already did a thread on it about a week ago."

Again you aren't understanding what I posted here. Every special has its own modifiers, every single one. The modifiers are what make that special do more or less damage, and hit for faster or slower speed. The base modifier of these specials are what changes the damage range and speed of your weapon. If you look at that site you will see that he has the modifiers for the specials there aswell, he uses them in his calculations for DPS. I know I'll use that site, since you presented it, to calculate my DPS with my flamethrower. But the information I posted here is for OTHER people who want to do the same. If you want to figure out the highest possible damage you can do with any flamethrower, take its max damage, multiply it by 11.5, and there you have it.

*EDIT: I also "looked around" that site and theres nothing about flamethrowers on it. Also his mods are flawed badly, he forgot to add the 1.5 modifier that is ALWAYS applied to weapons (in normal fire and with specials). And that 1.5 is missing in the specials calculations. His resulting DPS report is dropped quite a bit. I didn't notice it on the pistols page (I don't know the pistol mods very well) but his Rifles page, I know theres at least 1 rifle special with 6.5 or 7.5 damage modifier (counting the 1.5), the highest he has is 5. The intresting part is when you look up the DPS of any carbine, scattershot 1 and 2 have a DPS of 0.

I have Field tactics 1 and Flame specialization 2, and I have been wondering. By the time I'm master commando, will specials have less than a close to 10 second cool down? Right now I dont use any specials unless I am fighting a HUGE mob with some friends or I am being chased by multiple enemies(flame cone1).

I dont use them for fear of missing and having to wait 10 seconds to attack.

Also, what goes good with commando? I was thinking master commando, exploration 3, novice medic, and TKA, 3 in the field that gives you melee mitigation.

Help please, thanks

Using a flamethrower with a 3s or so speed, your delay with the flamethrower will be about 5s or so at flame 4. There is no speed bonus at master. You will be able to augment this speed further in publish 10 with the introduction of Force sensitivity trees, one treeof which provides a boost of +12 ranged weapon speed if I recall correctly.

i use a speed sliced ft and it kicks a$$ - i get a 3.5-5.5k special with a 5 second cooldown and i can fire normally for about 800-1.2k every 1.5-2 seconds.

once you get to flames 3 and 4 the speed will be greatly reduced. I used specials with my flame thrower when i knew that it would kill the creature, so cool down didnt matter. but when i got flame 3, i ust started burning through things.

I think commandos should have variations of these specials. There already in the game and would be easy for the devs to implement.

Power attack- warmup timer then some good dmg

armor break- breaks armor

Taunt- would be a ranged taunt(commandos have some tanking ability)

Berserk- ranged berserk, adds a offensive bonus and a defencive penalty

sword flurry- does extra damage and has a defensive bonus(would be named differently)

These specials would be great to add to commando and easy to add too.

Right now I think I would be happy if AoE actually worked, the state effects on my weapons landed every time, and I had heavy weapon power ups. Not a complete class fix but it would be one hell of a start.
