The problem is that this game is supposed to be for groups of ppl... but every one in the game wants to be able to solo krayts... the thing is my friend... you should have 5 or 6 commandos grouped with you if you wanna take downa bad ass thing like the atst... why should only ONE commando be able to take one down? honestly, its just stupid, no offense to you though
With your logic, why should 1 person be able to control something like that in the first place? I think if 1 person can control a pet like that, then it should take 1 person to take it out. If1 person isn't suppose to take it out, then it should be controllable by a player.
And this is a game that involves more people playing than just you. In which case, anything 1 person as shouldn't take 5+ people to counter. Godly AT-STs like that should only be in single player games. In multiplayer games such as this, 1 person shouldn't be able to take out 5+ people.

thousands? well,I guess, as long as there aren't a dozen ewoks among those thousands. We saw in ROTJ what happens in that situation.

AT ST was put into the game as a pet to BALANCE the GCW. BECAUSE imperials often have to wander around solo in citys. Granted players did take advantage of it and solo'ed whole citys but if the AT STs can be taken down then why are you asking for easier was for newbs to take them down? As I said before.

You guys AREN'T the only ones wanting a way to defeat something thats otherwise un-defeatable with the weapons your suppose to defeat it with. Turrets are twice as hard to kill as AT STs, they out range rocket launchers and AT STs are like little boys with sharpened sticks chargeing a grizzled soldier with a heavy chain gun.
did you even read this thread feckwit? it wouldnt over power us because we said we only want to be able to use it IN pvp. thats PVP ONLY. got it? it wont ruin the player economy because people will still need regular RL's for non pvp stuff. idiot.
god can you even read? have you bothered to read the thread? the fact that we've presented you with well laid out arguments, proof of what a ATST is and hard numbers and yet all you can do is fling insults around like a pathetic child. go back to class little boy before they give you detention.
turrets are static heavily armoured defences. they are supposed to be hard to take down. ATST's are lightly armoured vehicles. they arent supposed to be hard to take down.
Grow a brain. Develop an IQ. Learn to read. Develop some arguing skills.
THEN you can come back to this thread. till then your being a perfect example of the immature inbreds i mentioned earlier in this thread.

So far your the only one flinging insults at everyone.
Second of all, I've been the one presenting numbers, you have not (except those really really obsene ones the original poster put).
Third of all, you REALLY need to lay off the crack.
Fourth of all, if an imperial made this kind of request for us and you guys had the giant pets I would be against it all the same.
Fifth of all, I also mentioned that this kind of weapons use in PvP would murder way more players then AT STs do, in 1 single hit even.
Sixth of all you aren't reading anyones post at all, your replying to random posts and flaming the poster. No one can respect that.
Seventh of all, the AT ST is there as a balance, you can't balance a balanceing part of the game by tipping the scales in the favor of what its suppose to balance against.
Eighth of all, I'm sure as hell glad your not on sunrunner, rebels there are already childish cowards.
Ninth of all, and this is the biggest, I had a rebel on another server, I fought AT STs, I've done all the dieing you've done. Diffrence is I'm NOT bitching about it. I deal with it, but it was embarrising how often the rebels ran despite haveing the advantage in numbers (by 3/1) just because ONE imperial pulled out an AT ST.
Absalutely NO POINT in asking for a NEW way to destroy something that is OBVIOUSLY destroyable as is. Rebels like you are half the reason I quit the game for a month, talking to you guys as allys was really pitiful, which is why my commando is my main and my pistoleer/tka rebel is deleted. I've watched rebels kill a player AT ST before commandos were even a playable class (easily playable that is). I can't believe you guys are so insistant on this idea. Hell I've SOLOED! an AT ST before, without dieing. Burst run, flame, burst run out and get it stuck on trees or use LOS to keep it off your ass, burst run in from another direction, you get the idea. Your arguements have been as follows.
"We are asking for a more sensible ways of killing AT STs": This implys that he has destroyed AT STs before, and is merely asking for an uber weapon to kill PLAYERS with, not just AT STs.
"Accuracy of the commando would mean about 10 of those rockets would actually hit": Yeah right, sure we miss 1/3rd of the time, surrrrrrrrrre. In reality I think we miss 1 in 10 shots with RL and the area of effect means you would be hitting something in pvp. I know this because I often have and use RLs and HPBCs. Its usually a surprise when I miss my initial target. But I use it when theres more then 1 potential targets, which means I don't miss much (I hit at least 3 out of 4 targets on average). I don't even use Aim (which is another potential exploit of this weapon, spam aim 30 times and what WONT you hit?)
Thats about it. The other arguements weren't even worth mentioning since there ARE no other arguements. Arguements against it are as follows:
"Player weaponsmiths will have a huge increase in the difficulties already presented to them in selling Rocket Launchers": Reasoning behind this is because very few people waste RLs on PvE mobs (especially since not many of these mobs are vulnerable to blast) Its more effective to set them on fire. RLs aren't even used in PvP because they aren't cost effective and murder the HAM bars. I use mine for a show of force, and because I love the animations for it. I wish I had real use with it.
"Rebels will take a serious advantage in the GCW, haveing a powerful and quick way of killing AT STs aswell as the numbers.": This means that most every single rebel would take up commando just for the HW line just to use these legendary RLs. That means that a rebel force of 30 would show 30 rebels able to use and employ these RLs, and likely hit effectively. Thats a good 6 AT STs destroyed instantly and I'm impressed when my guild has 2 out at once. Thats ALSO about the entire imperial squad wiped out if even 3 of those RLs hit key points pf the squad.
"An RL of this power would easily destroy players, armored or not": that RL would do 6k damage in pvp, armor wouldn't even cut it down by 50%, instead the damage would be increased by 50% instead, then have the damage reduced by whatever blast the armor stops. On average your looking at 3-6k damage easy to players. Even buffed players wouldn't live after 1 hit. Area effect means they hit multiple targets at once. Hell the cheesey non-legendary RLs hit for over 1k pvp. Yeah SOE will let you have 3-6k damage in pvp, right. They aren't THAT blind.
Hehbtw I love how people intentionally miss-spell swear words so that I can know exactly what they meant (and all the little kids can know what they meant too). I'm sure thats cool or something, I wouldn't know though. I guess its cool to have bad spelling or corrupt little kids minds. Just because you grew up in adump doesn't mean you have to swear infront of other kids. Frankly I've always seen a frequent use of swear words as insults as somewhat.... stupid. I doubt you even know what the word means, or about when it was first used. I love lectureing kids so I'll teach you, and as a bonus I'll throw in the origins of the middle finger.
In mid-evil times (dark ages) there was this execution called beheading (that means they cut your head off with an axe or a guilitine). When the king ordered someone's head to be removed they were refered to as being **edit**ed. Apropriate at the time. How it got to being known as a term for sex is beyond me.
As for the middle finger, during the wars between briton and france. Whenever the french capturedbritish longbowmen, they would cut off their middle fingers before ransoming them back to briton. Eventually it became a major thing for the longbowmen to "flip off" the french whenever briton won a battle, proudly displaying their middle fingers and basically showing off that they still had them. Theres another story that they flipped the french off BEFORE the battle started, displaying that they were ready, willing, and able. I'm thinking it ran both ways (its a very easy gesture to make). How this came to meaning what it does now is beyond me.
Im not even going to address your first post as your speaking so far out your jaxie it isnt even worth addressing. I've given you evidence as has tac and if you choose to ignore it thats your own stupidities fault. and you actually flung insults yourself so i suggest you go look in the mirror chuckle head. We've proven that the ATST is to hard to take down and that the only way its doable at the moment is stupid and unrealistic. we've given you evidence its lightly armoured and is a scout vehicle. we've shown you that the ham on rocket launchers/reshoot time etc is so high that even if a commando wanted to and he had a clear shot he wouldnt be able to take one down solo without a doc or a huge battle going on around him.
We've given you all the evidence and your ignoring it and flinging insults yourself.
However im going to correct you on one thing.
it is not the middle finger that came from the bowman thing but the V sign. IE facing the palm of your hand towards you and sticking up the first 2 fingers on your hand.
This came from the battle of agincourt. The french hated the english longbowman so much that they tauned them before the battle by saying they would capture them and cut off their two bow fingers. How ever the english beat the french and thus ever after the two fingers up was a taunt to the french, which then evolved down the years to what we have today.
And FYI go read a decent book they NEVER ransomed the bowman back to the families etc. Men at arms or knights were ransomed but bowman were SO hated by the armies of europe they were typically disymbowled after being tortured for hours. If at all possible they were disembowled in sight of the english army too.
