So says the guy who's forum name is taken straight from Spaceballs... a movie that's probably also about as old as you are.
Difference is...I am not getting paid to be here. Much less, getting paid to be here and come up with unoriginal content.

Your right...not only are you not being paid to be here, but you are paying to be here...you are paying just so you can come and complain on a post that was meant to be fun and a way to blow off some tense feelings...And what have we learned from your post 1) you feel TH is better suited for Customer Service rather then a Comedy Profession and 2) Some people will complain about pretty much anything just so their complaint can be seen...
So since you came to this thread, complaining about TH's unoriginal content, there is one thing you seemed to miss...he at least posted some content...where is yours? I missed your humorousunique content addition...what exactly are you sharing in this thread?

If you werea DE, you would understand my and our general lack of respect for the DEV team. Over the last 6 months, none of them have posted really anything in the DE forum. We were correspondentless for a while, and even at that time, they would never chime in. They said they wanted player input for the whole Droid Invasion. But then they never really communicated with us nor acknowledged whether our posotive opinions were even heard, seen, thought about or even cared for. And although some of the things released are interesting, through practicality, that interest will wear off quickly in the game for most of those things and our marketability will diminish and meet the level at which our communication with the DEV team is currently standing at. And yes, I pay to play here. It sickens me to see a post sounding as though it was to be an "original" thought and attempt at humorbeing posted here rather than seeing him doing part of his job and communicating with relevance to the customers. This is like these car companies making a big stink about a fold down trunk, opening it to the backseat and therefore giving you space for larger objects. Heh. I have a 1972 Ford Mustang. It has a fold down rear seat which flattens the entire length of the car behind the drivers seat. It also has a fold down trunk compartment, then opening it to the entire car. It is funny to see companies like Toyota or Honda market this stuff like it has never been thought of before.
Think of your cable company. You pay them for your cable. You pay them to take care of any problems you have regarding anything herewith. What if they didn't even acknowledge your existence? What if when you called customer service, the person on the other end of the line sat silent? What if that person responded with even more silence? Then...what if you are sitting there, and you get a call. It is that Customer Service Rep you were talking to, but not communicating with. He calls and tells you a joke about a barber, priest and frog; only then to again go silent. I look at this game not only as a game, but because I pay for it monthly, I look at it as a service. I do not expect nor wish that the members of the company I am paying to take part in comedic performances such as this. As with my job, I am paid to do a job, not to make jokes to the customer and ignore their want for communication.
Does this share enough for you?
As far as humerous content, I have added my share in other forums. And I am not trying to flame you. I am just simply stating my opinion, which I understand is undoubtedly disagreed with by other people.
It is funny, however, that being in the commando profession forum (which this profession could desperately use a make-over), I find myself in a group of people who offer support for the DEV team. Perhaps you all have had much more communication with the DEVs than we DE. I could understand your position if that is the case. However, last post in the DE forum where I saw any Red-Tagged person there was probably back in December. We have beckoned them many times, posotively, negatively and everything in between. We never were responded to appropriately, in my opinion.

Actually if you compared the DE Profession to Commados, you'd find that the Devs have paid 100 times as much attention to Droid Engineers as Commandos...Compare as many Dev posts in your forum as compared to ours...And we have had Dev flame fests galore (me included) over the many months due to that fact...but there is a huge difference...
We've reached a point where flaming, ranting and whining isn't going to get us any farther then asking nicely would...
The Combat Balance is probably the sorest subject for Commandos...TH knows this...Every response we have received from the Devs over the last 6 or 7 months to ANY of our requests has been "It will be addressed in the Combat balance"...nothing more...we don't have clue one what will actually be in the Combat Balance...and then we find out it's been Delayed...and even after it's been delayed we still hear "Wait for the Combat Balance" as a response...
It's so painful you have to laugh...That's why TH coming here and joining in our poking fun at the Combat Balance really says something...He understands our frustration...he understands our pain...and he's willing to poke fun at himself and the fellow devs to prove that to us...
If you go to the Dev Tracker you'll see a Dev posted in the DE forum just last week...and the back in February...and January...and so on...So I'm not sure why you feel the Devs have ignored the DE Profession...let's look at the recent patch that went on the Test Center...How many items on there are DE related? Now, how many items on there are Commando related? Not only that, but look at to key issues...Exploding Droids and Player Controlled Turrets...2 things Commandos should be included in on, but are left out in the cold...So if anyone has a right to gripe it definitely isn't you...you should be Thanking the Devs for paying any attention to your profession...you've just made out like bandits when compared to our Profession...It's like some kid gets a Lexis for his birthday and runs crying to his room because he parents didn't by him a Porche...
I wish you could take a look at the Correspondent forum...Your DE Correspondent does an incredible job over there speaking for your community...And the Devs are constantly in communication with him...He speaks for your community (that's what a Correspondent does)...Your community has never been out of contact with the Devs...Possibly the only reason they don't come visit as much any more is that they get flamed to heck when they do...Even TH's last post a week ago got flamed...And when he comes to make a funny in the Commando forum, again he get's flamed by a DE...
TH stopped coming to the Commando forum because we flamed him out of here pretty much...And I'll take partial responsibility...if anyone can rant, I can...I have never been known for standing up for the Devs...but when they show their human side and take a moment to come down to our level, I'll celebrate that fact anyday...
Added note: No one should flameBarfalomue...If any profession can understand the acts that frustration can push you to, we Commandos can...This post is meant to be a fun stress reliever that is poking fun at one of the biggest sore subjects on the mind of all Commandos...lets get back to the laughter...
