Hmm I'm a little grumpy at how long all this taking. After all we have been waiting a long time and will still have to before anything goes live.

Beta sounds interesting. I might actually be amazed.

Of course I'd have to see not all jedi runin around.

All sorts of people wearin different armor some new stuff too.

No more tumblers just good old medics actually healin people.

Some sweet weapons like an assualt rifle and grenades will be useful if not deadly with cool effects.

No more uber buffs or comp.

Seeing a commando beat the heck out of TKM or rifleman.

Cool new weapons.

No more soloing everything.

No more crazy SBDs and over difficult DWB.

If all that basically comes true I'll be a happy camper.
When you think about it besides the bugs that will really change the game. Heck the GCW might even be somewhat fun once the imbalances are gone.

Of course I'm not gonna wait forever either. Yes I want a good job done but I ain't gonna keep paying $15 a month just for something to get fixed someday.

If this goes as well as JTL did, it will be totally awsome and worth all those month of $15 you spent.

However, mind you if you get in closed beta, there will most like be a time where everything is way to hard or only 10% fun. It took a week and half for me to get finished with teir 1 pilot while we were waiting for some of the npc's and missions to be toned down to a level of being able to win. So, what you see in closed or even open beta is not the final product till it hits live.

But trust me, if they put even half the effort as of JTL, which with the devs that claim they will be in CU/R/B that will be 100% effort, it will still come out with great results and we will once again love the game like no other.

The JTL devs were awsome in trying to nail problems down, they spent more time working than i am even allowed to work. Darn state overtime laws. They were highly communicative with us, some more than others but it really did matter on what part they were working on. Some didn't need are feed back as much so they were working on back ground things while the big talkers were mostly on the missions.

I had a great time in JTL, even when i was banging my head agains the keyboard hoping to complete the mission requirements.

For those who bought JTL, just think how cool that is, then think of how cool the CU/R/B will be when its done. it will be awsome.

Oh, and when i was testing JTL, i had many many doubts how it would turn out on the dead line they set. They really did an awsome job with all the bugs, problems, and mishaps, and fully pulled off an awsome expansion. I am now waiting for a hint of what XP2 will be.

Im pretty impressed about the announcement. even Tyrant was out there throwing in his 2 creds.

You gotta love Tyrant...He isn't about PR...he's straight and to the point with his No, Yes, OK and Done...If he says something is happening or not happening, you can count on that (since he's pretty much in charge)...he doesn't dance around anything and isn't worried about hurting a few peoples feelings....

At the Summit I saw lots of people going up to him and asking "Can my profession have..." and even before they finished, Tyrant burst out with "No..." It war a LaughRiot...got to the point where we just started making up things to ask for just so we could hear Tyrant say "No"...

Ah, nice to know that Tyrant does NOT care about the input of correspondents concerning their profession. That explains alot as to what has happened so far.

AGAIN...reading WAY WAY WAY more into my words then what I mean...come on...do you really believe that? If you do, you are more in need of a break away from this game then anyone I know to date...

What I meant is that Tyrant is great about not "beating around the bush" and burying the truth is some type of customer service friendly kiss your bottom lingo...he tells us like it is...if we ask for somthing impossible, he doesn't say "we'll look into it" to stall us...he says "No"...if someone asks for something that will unbalance some game element he doesn't say "We'll address that issue in the Combat Upgrade", he says "Not going to happen"...and if we ask for something that is a possibility, he doesn't say "Possibly"...he says "Yes" or "Ok"...and when he says YES, he means "YES, it WILL HAPPEN!!!"

With Tyrant you know EXACTLY where you stand...that's why he has such a hugely popular following...

tyrant even fights back in the forums, he has been know to chew the head off people he disagrees with

impressive for a dev to not care about his actions in my view - he tells it as it is, no messing.

Put it to you this way...When a Dev has to check with their boss for an answer on something and their boss doesn't know the answer...they go to Tyrant...He's their bosses boss...

Hey you said them, "Can my profession have..." . The Smuggler profession has become use to it too, "Can my profession have..."our Revamp -- Tyrant "No". Being direct is one thing, listening to input is also important. If enough correspondents wound up saying the same things for their proffs then perhaps the best thing would be to say, let me look into this and see why this is being asked for.

He is sounding more like the Soup Nazi -- "Not going to happen". In addition, it sounds like they have everything laid out as to what the "Combat Upgrade" will be, Yes to this -- No to that, sounds like they didn't want the correspondent's input at all.

I meant more like "Can my Profession have a Blast Damage VK"..."Can my profession get sole use of an AT-ST"...and other crazy requests that would throw things out of balance...instead of giving a "politcally correct" type response in which he tried to spare the posters feelings, Tyrant just tells it like it is...

He listens...He not only reads our requests, but TH, JustG and other often bring our requests straight to him...he has a good eye on what the prize is and knows straight away what will and what will not accomplish the goal...

Have you ever noticed that a Dev giving a "politically correct" response to a request, trying hard to spare feelings, often ends up with 10 to 20 more posts being made to that thread trying to change the Devs mind? But with Tyrant's posts, thats the end of the story...time to move on...it's clear, concise, and you know if you hear a YES or a NO, that's the way it is...

Exactly, instead of p*ssy footing around, he says it straight. Refreshing from a dev. the amount of scorn TH gets, I can only imagine what sort of non PC replies he could muster up for us!
