I think I know what your talkin about Garvin. TH has to get permission from his boss to post anything on it and he keeps saying "Enh not yet." Either that or TH and the Devs are testing to see how guilible we all are. That's it! We are guinea pigs for JTL! See the Devs are waiting to get a new community and brainwash them like they have us only better! Mu ha ha ha ha!

Ok seriously it's the end of September and none of us but Garvin know what the heck the revamp is like. Garvin can you be sure they didn't trick you guys and have changed the revamp entirely. You know like they just showed you a bunch of fake stuff to keep you and the rest of us happy?

It's my opinion that some excuse will be made that the revamp is never coming. I feel as if the game is bleeding to death and the devs put a few band aids on it but it still crys for help. Then all the Devs say "Oh I can't do anything else right now even though I'm a doctor at least until the ambulance arrives. I hope those band aids help you. Oh I gotta go bye!"

SOETyrant is pretty much the big guns around the SOE Offices these days...He has repeatedly assured us that the main gist of the Revamp is still in place...timing though is a sensitive issue...The Devs at the Summit told us what they wanted to do, but admitted they didn't fully know how long it was going to take them to do it...plus they have to compete at the same time with the launch of another "make or break" product...

If a game doesn't grow it dies...that's the philosphy of just about every MMO out there...they make it a first priority to grow and create new content...Thus their focus is on JTL for now...Unfortunately that leaves the rest of us frustrated with the current state of the game playing the "waiting game"...

It's my STRONG belief that they are working big time on the Revamp...but with a certain major launch coming up soon, they don't want to talk about much of anything else publically until it gets out of the gate...They don't want any minds clouded with anything else but that big new launch (again, this is only my personal speculation here)...Have you noticed that the Friday Features have pretty much been 90% JTL lately...I'm betting TH and the rest of the Devs involved in the Revamp want to shout out the info...but higher ups are asking them to be quite for a bit longer to keep focus elsewhere...

The thing i wonder though garvin, is if they are even concerned about losing core players? even if JTL is awesome, everyone who has left the game is unlikely to come back to check it out. even if they do get the Rebalance rolling right after JTL, by that point they will start losing even more people to the impending EQ2.

This isnt really gonig to bother Tyrant much, since it doesnt matter which RPG brings his paycheck, but what about loyalty to all of the starwars fans who dont want to see the dream die? the way this is going, JTL will be too little too late, the game still isnt stable, and there hasnt been any truely new content in an entire year. even JTL (though it adds space sectors) brings no new planets to the fold. we need more species. we need more dungeons. we need more world in general! think about it, there are planets that noone even bothers with anymore, simply because theres nothing interesting on them.

i know they dont want to tell us whats going on, and ive accepted that, but they could at least find some action to show us they care.

try telling this to TH, and it gets no response...

ps, if JTL is really cool, i may reactivate my account for a cycle and try it, but they better not make me pay 54.99 for an ADDON!!

Man, I'm so stoked about JTL. I can't wait till it comes out. Not because I'm actually looking forward to it, I just want it to be out of the way so maybe we can finally get atleast some NEWS on the core game being fixed.

Sry just in a super frustrated mood this morning.

Rumblings as in TH stating he is working on some type of announcment...Even SOETyrant confirmed that he is putting something together...but I say rumblings because there has been no confirmation on exactly what it will detail (just that it will be related to the combat revamp docs) and no confirmation of when it will be posted...

I posted this morning to hopefully get some type of update I can share publically...for now it's all speculation...Personally I have my own speculations on what the hold up is, and it does sort of make sense (in a lame sort of way) but I'm holding off on sharing to prevent any further rumors...I will say this...I don't believe the doc delays are in anyway a sign that something is wrong with the revamp or will result in a delay of the sandbox getting up and running...I think it has more of a "business" reason and TH is a victim in this as much as we are...but again...that's just my wild speculation...

TH said in his recent post on the Naritus galaxie forum that no code for the revamp has been written. And the fact that the sandbox can't happen until they actually write code coupled with the fact that most of the dev team is working on JTL is a bad sign for anything in the balancecoming out in '04 in my opinion.

Then whoever is in charge i s a JERK!!! If they want to have people talk up JTL and buy JTL, they need to take care of the current set of problems with SWG. There are many people who are disappointed in the current performance of their product. Do you think these people will buy an add-on? A number of people have left the game because of the current state. By delaying things further they are daily reducing the number of potential customers. When the games sites ask for comments on the new product, these are the people who will complain the most. If they think this won't happen, they should have learned from Haden's fiasco.

You got that right. I think that they're making a big mistake. Getting us the info on the Docs (correctly) would give us fuel and hope. We would even see the JTL launch as something more to look forward to. The longer they decide to delay giving us the INFO (for crying out loud, it's not the actual revamp), the more discontent the people become.

One can become so pessimistic that nothing newwillcheer them up for long...they'll keep a grudge and it'll have repercussions down the road if not now.
