Thread: With a Yes or No how many are keeping Commando
Sincemy first steps in the Radiant galaxy, long long time ago, iaimed towards this profession....so my answer is YES, i have no choice but keep this profession...against all the odds....
Ok..now remember the senile Charlton Heston clutching a rifle (change that for a flamethrower 
) and shouting: "From my cold dead hands"...this represents correctly the people that continue with this profession.....
Yeah...it is actually beneficial when I toss a grenade, my pet can actually deal damage while I wait for the 5 hour timer to expire....WooHoo!!
I can't wait any longer for Commando to be fixed, I will be dropping it entirely... I dropped Master Commando in favor of TKM around May 04, but still held on to 0040 for the flamer. I 'fell' for the propaganda that was fed upon me by the Commando Testers during Beta for the CU, and actually grinded myself back to Master Commando BEFORE CU in eager aniticipation of a fixed profession. It was all lies..
The weapons are all broken, underpowered and dangerous to use. I do moredamage with my Bowcaster even though I am only 0004 inrifles that I do with any of my "Master" commando weapons. I think that my Bowcaster even did more damage BEFORE I picked up any Rifle skills... and I have a sh1t-load of HW tapes too... still do more damage with that rifle.
The two things that actually WORKED with commando have been broken with the CU: the Gernades and the Flame DOT.
We get no specials and are forced to pick up another ranged profession just to be combat effective, which is inexcusable.
The brawler line is STILL a complete waste of skill points, even though we were promised that it wouldn't be a waste after CU. More lies.
Sadly, I am about to respec out of Master Commando before I lose my respec ability. I just can't wait any longer.. I will probably be able to pick up 2 good professions in lieu of Commando. Everyone has been lauging at me cause each respec I attempted was hampered by my refusal to drop Commando... they kept prodding me to drop it and try something else.
One day if it's fixed, I will pick it up for the 3rd time, because I have always loved the idea of being a Master Commando, and always wore the title with a sense of pride. This is a very sad day for me.. it really is... but "Good Bye Commando". I wish I could say that it's been fun...

Still fighting the good fight, and will be on TC-Bria for a bit testing out post-CU grenades. I haven't had much experience with them since testing (primarily due to weaponsmiths not making em anymore and them being...borked...with conversion). I've been concentrating a lot on AoE lately, but little on grenades. Time to change that, as well as visit the DWB to see if I need to get a thread going on that piece of work...

Hey star. Toss an e-mail to keelsan some time and I'll hook you up with a few. I ended up taking my crafter toon MWS. (Still MAS though. Just droped most of merch and what scant few combat skills I had since they'd been rendered utterly useless anyway). For the sole reason that well.. i couldnt find any either. So now I make my own

I think my respec just ended without giving me the warning message it was supposed to (logged in and got master badges). 
Well, looks like I"m a carbineer now wether I planned on being one or not...
